I had one of the worst experiences I have had with any doctor with Dr. Kongkachen. She did not listen to me, continually talked over me, and argued with what I was saying. It wasn't until I handed her printed out test results that she acknowledged what I was saying about my medical history. She was abrupt and had poor listening skills. After new test results that she ordered came back, she provided no response, despite telling me should would call me. After days of no-response and with no explanation, I was told by an admin with this clinic that I need to schedule an appointment (and pay another copay!) to talk to a different doctor about the results. Worst experience.

They gave my girlfriend propofol and she said it was lights out within seconds. She said the only thing she remembers is she kind of woke up once and opened her eyes and looked around. Someone was holding her head and stroking her hair and the other nurse had wrapped a blanket around her and was rubbing her back and holding her hand. One of them said "you're doing great honey, you're almost done" She said that confused her because she had no idea the scope was still in her throat lol she looked up at the screen and fell asleep again

I had a reaction to midazolam and fentanyl. I couldn’t remember anything after the procedure and slept for 12 hours after. The following day I was too dizzy to walk or drive. I had the same procedure using propofal and was back functioning normally in less than an hour after the procedure. I spoke with both the nurses and doctor and they believe that my body didn’t metabolize the midazolam like it should. My liver functions are normal.

I could never recommend her. I guess she really didn’t like me because she was pretty unprofessional, accusing me of wanting her to make things up… if that makes any sense at all?Sadly, she was pretty cruel to me. It truly left a lasting impression on me.😢

I’m so glad the endoscopy center I have used only uses propofol. Versed is the absolute worst drug out there. If the procedure is painless, why do you need fentanyl?

My colonoscopy was the absolute hands-down worst experience I’ve ever been through in my life, and I’ve been through chemotherapy. Prep was not fun, but even worse is the fact that when you have this procedure, they’re going to fill your colon with air, and you will be farting, super painfully, for days and days. You will not feel the procedure, that is true, but the before and the after make it so not worth it. After all this medical advances this world has made, you think they’d be able to do this horrible procedure more effectively and less traumatically.

I had a colonoscopy done several years ago and like you, it was the worst experience I had ever had until I had to get a cystoscopy done. People think colonoscopies are barbaric, try this on for size. I'm male by the way. Cystoscopies are commonly done with no anesthesia and only a little bit of lidocaine squirted up your urethra. The scope is a little bit bigger than a pencil and you're only numb for about the first 2 inches. When they push through the prostate and into the bladder, it is the absolute worst pain you can imagine. Procedure takes about 5 minutes but it's the worst 5 minutes of your life. They're telling you to relax and breathe.... There's no F'n way to relax. You just want it out, NOW !!! Will make a grown man cry.

I always get Propofol and it works fine. The bowel clean out prep takes a couple of days and is unpleasant but necessary. My last colonoscopy alliwed me to go for a 5 year period before I will need to have the next one

Totally never getting either one of these done. Way too risky for either procedure . Too Many done a a day and way to risky. The “bread and butter” Procedure is only Done so the doctor gets rich. They need their mansions and sports cars

Everett Clinic was not a good experience for me. Started off with the front desk staff being rude & condescending, anesthesiologist was very uncaring & made sure I knew she didn’t care. So much pre procedure anxiety, I kept hyperventilating & shaking, there was no compassion.

I had my first colonoscopy this week and was VERY nervous about being put under. Here was my experience. The colon cleansing was easily the worst part. On the morning of the surgery they put an IV in first a saline solution. The anesthesiologist told me she will give me lydacain first so the propofol won’t be painful when it’s injected. So they wheel me into the surgery room and have me lie on my left side and bring my knees up a little. Then I heard the nurse say she was giving me the lydacain first. I felt a tingling sensation all over. After maybe two seconds I said “I feel tingly” and the next second (from my perspective) I was back in the recovery room 30 minutes later. I had expected the nurse or doctor to ask me to count down from 10 or something. Anyway, I was lights out in a flash and felt zero pain when I woke up. 20 minutes later my wife picked me up and we had breakfast. Zero pain from the procedure and no serious side effects from the meds. I felt a little tired but then again the colon cleansing caused me to sleep for only 1 hour the night before the exam.
