Those who say it's not horrifically difficult are the same ones who will tell you whiskey is smooth. I've hiked enough of the trail and drank enough whiskey to know.

This is my first time watching one of your videos, and wow what a wonderful journey! This is a fabulous documentary and I’m glad you made it, not only for yourself but for others. I started to cry with you when you only had 5 miles left and then I cried for you because of the ending. You are an amazing spirit, and you can conquer anything!

Bad Bat, how did you fare during the recent flooding? Planning anymore hikes?

I live in Duncannon and the hikers once in a while pass by my house. If I'm sitting outside and see some hikers I'll give them bottles of water.

Just re-watched this, and yes, it is a great video. Thru hiking is constant decision making. It you have peace and quiet, it is because you decided to. A thru hike and the trail in general is the most fun suck you'll ever go through. geek

March &April is rainy season. You'll avoid mosquitoes longer, fresh cat holes, crowds at camp sites and sweat less while you get your trail legs.

I read Grandma Gatewood’s Walk a few years ago…fascinating. That inspired me to pick people walk it. So…I chose you and Taylor the Nahamsha hiker to watch throughout your NOBO. It was a rough hike in ‘23 due to all the rain. This is a tremendous documentary! You made it!! You did it!! You withstood it! With unabashed determination and quiet strength you conquered it! Congratulations isn’t enough of a word. The sheer guts it took emotionally to hike that last day is truly, truly amazing. Thank you from one who is not a hiker. This year, I’ve been watching Sunshine and Captain. They are mother/son. They give an authentic vlog about their hike. I wish I could still follow you. You will accomplish incredible things, whether it be having lofty goals or common. There is Splendor in the Ordinary. You have affected many and will continue to do so! Go for it Girl!

Paused at 1 hour 9 minute mark. Had to literally put my phone down and take a moment before writing this. Normally my speech in general would make a sailor blush. I decided not to write about him as was my initial instinct. Instead, I write about you. You're amazing. Congradulations, and I wish you many more happy journeys and amazing people in your circle.
