Do you recommend driving through the park in the winter by yourself or do you recommend a tour company?

Teton Park Road will be closed (that's the scenic road right next to the Tetons), but Hwy 89 stays open throughout the winter (It may close briefly at times after storms). We found getting around in our rental jeep no problem. We were there late January and it was cold. Minus 15 during the day. There are of course not nearly as many cars on the road as the summer which is nice. Yellowstone is closed to traffic. To enjoy the park you have to take hire tour companies. Next time we go we'll go with a snowmobile tour company through Yellowstone. Looks like a lot of fun. Hope this helps. Thanks for reaching out and watching the video. We also did a podcast on our winter adventure to Grand Teton National Park.

You'll love it! Obviously the weather will be colder. Snow on the mountains and hopefully still some fall colors. Should be beautiful. You'll see lots of animals, and fewer people. The bears will be getting ready for hibernation. Enjoy!!

Glad I ran into your video as I am planning my solo trip to Teton and Yellowstone this July. Staying at Jenny lake campground and signal mountain for about four nights each. Any recommendations for Yellowstone camping? I’ll be car camping in my Subaru Outback. I’ve heard great things about dispersed camping in the national forest . Can’t wait! Thanks again for posting

This video blew me away. I'm a wildlife and scenic landscape photographer and frequetnt visitor to GTNP and just now, January 1, 2024, I happened to click on your video entitled "Top 8 places to spot wildlife in Grand Teton National Park." So I'm enjoying the video and Low and behold, there I am at approx. 13.50 and again at approx. 16.55, standing with a woman I had just met while we both waited for a bull and cow elk to leave an island in the Snake River and cross to the opposite shore. What are the odds of finding oneself in someone's video on KZbin. My photos tell me it was Sept. 27, 2022. I couldn't believe it. I hope this means it's going to be a fun year. Happy New Year to you both and safe travels always. Thumbs up on the video!

Great presentation of the Cowboy life and a Rancher. It's beautiful there in Osage County. My wife Kim & I have faithfully watched The Pioneer Woman, Red Drummond for years now and enjoy her show every Saturday morning. Growing up in the 60's in Jerome Prairie (Grants Pass) on a 10 acre ranch and my parents trying to keep our heads above water was a real challenge. But a great privilege for my brother and I to finish growing up out in the sticks, as my Great-Grandmother called it, after living the fist part of our lives in Anaheim. We moved in July 1967 to Oregon which was a great month. You two know what I'm talking about. I was so glad to meet and get to know Michelle. What a great person she is.

Just got back from the Grand Tetons, but we didn't have luck in finding much wildlife. We drove between Coulter Bay and Jackson several times and checked out nearly all the spots you mentioned, but strangely we didn't see any buffalos, elk, moose or pronghorns. But we did enjoy the scenery, the hikes and checking out the town of Jackson, so it was still a great trip.

Glad you had a good time. We were also there last week. Saw quite a few grizzlies and elk. Surprisingly few bison. The ones we saw were in the Elk Flats area. We also went up into far northeast Yellowstone. LOTS of bison there. At times surrounded by bison. When you go back, make sure and go down to Cattleman's Bridge in the Oxbow Bend area. Elk, bald eagles, otters, beavers, osprey, bears, etc. It's our favorite spot and right on the Snake River.

What makes Grand Teton National Park so great is how easy it is to get around. You don't need to hike or even get out of your car to see some gorgeous scenery. The mountains can be scene from just about everywhere. I would suggest Schwabacher's Landing which is just off Highway 89. Oxbow Bend is another great spot along the road. Also, look up Moulton Barns along Mormon Row. Really easy to get to. And the Snake River Overlook made famous by Ansel Adams. You can see and experience all of these and more easily in a day, even just a few hours. Enjoy!

We don’t have the nerve to do the entire climb! Is your secret weapon the “Female Urination Device”? I didn’t have mine when we were in Zion. Even with those, you have to locate a private area to be able to use it😩

Michelle's "secret" weapon is the Go Girl. I'm sure very similar to the product you mentioned. It's come in handy for her many times, including when we were in a three hour traffic jam waiting for the world's most famous grizzly bear and her four cubs cross the road in Grand Teton National Park.
