I personally feel that it's cruel to keep poor Borneo away from his love Kiki!! All he does is stare inside waiting to see her😢and she stares at him for a long time too! Isn't this zoo a partner in the International breeding program for Orangutans?? Let them live together if that makes them happy!!!

The Orangutans here are the only ones I've ever seen that drink each other's urine. I wonder if they do that because they aren't getting enough of a particular vitamin or mineral in their diets? Does anyone have an opinion??

I read it is an evolutionary behavior because living 90% of time in the trees there is little chance to drink and you need every bit of liquid you can get.

Riki was bigger at ten than Api is. Riki grew up to be very impressive. This video is pretty terrible by the way. No good content in it.

Young males often "mate" or practice on their mothers. He is not sexually mature at this point, however. It's more likely Kiki is in estrus again for the first time in a long time, so Loki "mated" with her. It's pretty clear she has eyes for only Borneo in this video. I can't recall if Borneo fathered Riki and Loki. Riki has grown to be a very impressive male and is in residence with a single female orang at another zoo.

He has alot of anger issues and I hope Mom never lets that baby out of sight, the brother wants that baby gone and I really think he could serverely hurt or even kill that baby not realizing his strength. I pray the keepers are really paying attention about this.
