Awesome video! Try Despotic Scepter over Claws of Gix. I promise, you'll never look back. If it's dropped before Stasis comes out you can tap it rather than your last mana like you would if you had CoG in play. Gaining you an additional turn. Extra turnis better than gaining 1 life. Keep up the good work!

It was the only deck that could beat Necropotence back in the day. They called it Turbo Stasis. It always ran 1 Despotic Scepter. I won a couple tournaments with it. Then when Tempest came out it got slaughtered by SUI Black. After Saga came out everyone was trying Claws of Gix but then it was decided that Despotic Scepter was still better.

So annoying, when you reveal your hand, its not for the remainder of the game. I hate how players can write down the cards they see or you have ro show them. Players who actually use their memory should be rewarded. Game was never meant to be played like this. At our locals, (up to 100 players) we enforce our own ruling: If you reveal your hand, its for THAT TURN only 😎 players enjoy it more!

Hi, loving the content, this was a nice match to watch with lots of triggers to keep track of by both parts! I recently got into premodern, its such a nice format, with pretty cards, and most people playing it seem to be very friendly. The video seems to have some audio problems, namely sometimes only one of the commenters voice could be heard while talking to the others. Regarding the challenge of checking how many enchantress missed triggers there were, I did a second run and found only three instances: Game @ timestamp, play, # missed draw triggers G1 @ 8:34, seal of cleansing, 3 G1 @ 9:45, solitary confinement, 4 G1 @ 10:56, opalescence, 5 On G2, I agree that Chris should have let the solitary confinement go, and use the sterling grove to top an enchantress effect and use the two cards in his hand to draw out of it, instead of jsut losing the two cards and giving two extra turns to Carl. On G3 @ 49:12 an opalescence appeared after a video editing cut, so there should have been some triggers that might have happened but are not on the video. And lastly, on G3, I don't think Carl missed any lightning rift triggers that could be used to deal more damage to Chris. All in all, nice match

8:16 very nice first game - a quick “nitpicking” comment here for viewers not completely familiar with the combo One of the beauty of this deck is the wonderful synergy between MoM & City of Brass: the player in auto-mode got the damage from city and went down to 17 but actually the damage is still on the stack and everything he is going to do from this point onwards is in response to that damage at instant speed. Therefore that damage will never be taken 😊 This also means that even if city was the only land in play he could have generated any and as many mana he wanted and still play in response 🤩

beatiful land choice for Rock, also rock player did not go without tough battle. Love the build. If you would have only 1 tusker and 3 call of the Heard. Whould should you add ? Maybe naturalizes to the main (depends on my local meta, which is pretty heavy enchantment orientated) ?
@chrismorelli33274 ай бұрын
Hi! I'm the Rock player. Thanks for the kind words. My teammate and I both play essentially the same build. Both just took it to Lobstercon. So I can say I would highly recommend not going below 4 Call of the Herd. It has proved time and time again to be one of the best cards in Premodern. T1 Duress/Therapy, T2 Wall, T3 Call feels like cheating in alot of games. It plays well with Deed too. If you're set on running 1 Tusker, 3 Call then I'd suggest a Yavimaya Elder. Outside of Tusker & Wall there's no other card draw and 1 less Call means you're down a body. Elder can get lands and be a body. As well as be recurred. One of the drawbacks to Rock is having to rely on top decks. As there is little in the way of selection or draw. Deed, Therapy, and Duress all get enchantments. You just need to see them. So you might try a main deck Skeletal Scying or 2 and cut a Vendetta. Which is what should be cut for Naturalize if you're set on having it. It can kill a Nought or a Terravore but most of the time it shouldn't. I do like it in the right match up. It kills Ball Lightning beautifully. I hope this helps.

@dondariohabibi5118 yes! You can hang with the strongest decks and even come out ahead if you build properly. It has a lot of iterations and they're all full imo. The pieces of the deck can often be used in other ones as well!

@@ImpulseCrewGaming is deranged hermits a key card in the deck, i have seen some people use spiritmonger :)
@chrismorelli33274 ай бұрын
Hi! I'm the Rock player. Spiritmonger is a fine creature, but it can be Swords'd, chump blocked, edicted. Deranged Hermit puts more power on the board across multiple creatures and it's alot harder to answer. That 5 mana is going alot farther. The squirrels are great sacrifices to Recurring Nightmare the Hermit because it quickly allows you to build an army. Hence, it's a much better finisher.
