I show this to people whenever someone says Batman is a fascist billionaire who could do more good just by donating his money (which he also does)

Ah yes...Bruce Wayne...a billionaire playboy with enough free time and money to dress up as a bat..has the sheer audacity to accuse other billionaires of lobbying. Has billions of dollars and the city's supposed to protect wallows in poverty and filth. And what's his plan to stop poverty and homelessness? To beat the crap out of homeless people and ask them to buy a house as he sends them to prison. I fucking hate Batman.

*HE GOT BILLIONS AND DOESNT SPEND A PENY ON THE POOR THAT HAVE TO TURN CRIMINAL!* instead he beats them up for the fun of it. What a f jack. Even Superman who is "rather poor" could do more but at LEAST he doesn't pretend to be poor and act like a real inspiring role model, so thats something!
@bill-nye-the-lemon-lime Жыл бұрын
I assure you, the fkn JOKER isn't evil because of poverty. Also, he's literally fighting the rich in the scene above. And he funds tons of infrastructure for gotham, too. He even saved Freeze's wife a couple of times by funding medical research, which made him stop being evil. overall, batsy puts insane criminals in an asylum where they can get treatment, and makes normal criminals too scared to hurt anyone.

"You've eaten Gotham's wealth" is real funny coming from Batman. He extracts enough wealth from the working class to pay for a mansion, a buttler, all the experimental military tech a guy could dream of, a litteral space station orbital base for the justice league, and so much more.
@sant41 Жыл бұрын
What do you mean by that? He´s one of the more honest billionares in fiction, giving foundations and oppotunities to the criminals and less fortunate. Batman´s wealth has never been a central part of his character, it´s just there to give him the resources he needs.
@plainText384 Жыл бұрын
@sant41 What do you mean Batman's wealth has never been a central part of his character? The Wayne fortune has always been an integral part of what makes Batman Batman. And where do you think that money came from, if not from the working class of Gotham? Batman didn't work a day in his life to finance his extravagant lifestyle. He simply inherited ownership and control of his parents' businesses and assets. And through those, he extracts profits from ("eats [the] wealth [of]") Gotham's workforce, who are the ones actually creating value and income by working in the companies Batman owns.
@sant41 Жыл бұрын
@@plainText384 Not many stories dwelve in the wealth of the characther, it´s there just to explain the hows and whys of his suit and gadgets. and also, that wealth has been accumulated since many generations of the wayne´s and you can see many comics that proves that he´s a good billionare that uses his resources to do good.
