Great bike!! How much did you rake the neck? It looks like about 5°?

Had one of these. A super bike. Very comfortable & nimble & not a single problem or breakdown ever. I wish I had it back. It was a black bike also. Performed excellent but people don't see black motorcycles. Love to have one in Candy Red large silver flake. This is a nice one. Keep it well maintained & clean. It'll last ya a long time.

These iron heads are the best of the best when it comes to street scooters, they just don't get any better! I've owned and wrenched all kinds and I wouldn't trade one basket case iron heads sportster for a ship load of brand new rice grinders! Oh I like jap bikes alot too, but these iron heads are pure magic to the heart and soul. And there's just no comparison! a good country gal and Harley iron head sportsters are all gifts from God himself!

A black, riveted chain guard would look better on this bike.

Beautiful bike! I had a 1972 XLCH in the same color, sparkling burgundy that I bought new that year. For some reason I still remember the purchase price, $2284.45 with tax. I have great memories of that bike and time.

Great Build!! I wouldn't change a thing!! Is the frame completely stock, or did you use an aftermarket front section?

My first harely was a 73 Sporty Iron head. Work on it all week just to be able to ride it on weekends. The Starter Generator Sucked.

I like the seat. Mine is slamed. That seat would work well. I have forward peddles.

Bought a new one just like this for $2900. Owensboro Harley-Davidson. Glen Edwards, salesman. The factory left off the primary cover gasket, which I had replaced, the next day. Kept it about 5 years...sweet ride.
