Just a tad bit too big on the ego, but it was indeed nice to see Bacharach conducting his own works live. And all have such a great sense of humor! Nice to see black musicians being hired for formal performances on television in 1968. Got to love Andy Williams. I always imagine if Frank Sinatra had had Andy William's voice, all of those hits would have been Andy Williams! And I cannot resist sharing my own tribute to the Bacharach; a fusion of Perry's Como's hit with "Magic Moments," with the magical electro version by Erasure. I'm a film maker and note-to-color music theorist. I was so excited about my remix and video, included how I got the fused song to naturally change keys 4 times, that I eagerly posted it, in hopes of contacting Burt so that he could see the video. I knew he as already in his 90's, and I really wanted him to see it! Burt Bacharach died just a couple of weeks later at 94. Here is my dedication to the songwriter extraordinaire. I would love to hear any feedback on this. Thanks, everyone! kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3WulpRogdF1brM
