Great. They should attempt growing them with seawater contaminated with nuclear waste, you know look forward 30+ years instead of 20+.

I saw the movie about the first harvesting of an experiment with salt water potato farming on Texel. I would like to get the contact details to communicate with those who conducted the experiments in order to repeat it in a country in Arabian Peninsula.My email:[email protected] regardsHabib Hussain

How about the run off seawater ? Did u plant near the sea so the run off saltwater can go back to the sea if not u will create one more problem to the local environment and freshwater source

potatoes take up heavy minerals as well as salt. good for reclaiming land, like mushrooms. but dont eat them if the water is unclean as sea water is.

Which is why you use this on land that has no water like the desert. Usually in areas were the ground was worthless to begin with.

@@vincem2759 so you take sand, replace it with soil at geat expense, and ruin it with salt after one season to get tiny stunted potatoes? seems efficient.

@youssefrochdi19942 жыл бұрын
@@vincem2759 it makes perfect sense. The soil in deserted areas is worthless to begin with without necessary amendments. So soil has to be made or transported to amend tbr the deserted area, then a 40% sea water solution will be used to irrigate that land and will kill off all the bacteria and fungi in that newlu established soil.
