3am this song starts beside me after praying about someone I love who is broken and afraid to step out to love me back . I try to reach him but am not the God who saves and my choosing to help him may be wrong to do so, as there needs to be healing and my own self care . Thank you God I let you be the driving force to his heart opening and healing of his past fears. ..you are all merciful! And I will wait on your Devine healing. In Jesus Name 🙏 Amen

Both when I first heard it and now, this song continues to push the boundaries of how I perceive Jesus...How is it that He *actually* wants to be poured into our wounded hearts like this? To actually be crushed? In those places where we bear shame, He *wants* to go...And then the opportunity to join Him in carrying our Cross, and His promise of fidelity through it all... All that to say, this song distinctly changed my prayer; thank you so much Praise Nation! (And so beautifully done, too)

One of my all-time favorites...If I had to make a soundtrack of only ten songs closest to my life, this would definitely be there. Once as I was listening to it, I saw an image of everyone together in the future of the Church, and I think they were praising Christ for His having become flesh-and not just in a general sense, but for His Incarnation into each of their particular lives. It’s a song praising the intimacy of GOD with us. And I love how it is borne from Philippians 2 in the first verse, and also how it so importantly leaves no one out in the second...It is so special for me, and for us all :) 💛 Thank you so much PN!! Thank you Patricia. I love this song dearly too. The lyrics for the versus is an adaptation of a hymn that St Thomas Aquinas wrote, along with some of the bridge. As soon as I read the phrase " Godhead here in hiding " , I was immediately inspired to write the song. Additionally I wrote a 4 page accompaniment that includes what the saints of said that also inspired the lyrics as well. Thank you for your beautifully kind words. The lyrics are always the most important aspect of the song because of Who they are directed to.
