Some arcades had the guns that didn’t move. It didn’t feel like at all. This is coming from a fan who loved the game. These guns look like less quality then the real arcade versions

It’s a piece of crap until you yank out all the crappy A1Up computer boards and put the Intec kit in it. I picked up a used one & installed the kit. Now I have access to over 200 tables with FX, FX3, Pinball M, Zacarria and many others all at 1080p.

Wake up issue is gone on latest switch firmware , you can now just push home or A button on control deck and the switch will wake up !

Can you play it with a nintendo switch OLED, and would this fit a mvc2 ac1up cabinet or how will it look?

can someone tell me if you can use an Intec mod for controls only and retain all the functions of the original Arcade1Up? I want to be able to play the one up games with a ps4 controller and still be able to play them online. Any ideas here?

After seeing this video I ended up ordering one on Amazon and I am SO GLAD that I did, having tons of fun with it, only issue is that dashing in fighting games seems more difficult but overall I haven’t had any issues, it even connects to the switch without needing a pro controller or joycons

Thanks for the comprehensive review. Was super keen to buy this. It could have been perfect but your thoughts are 100%. Small screen, bad recoil and cheap foot pedal was a big no from me

How do you connect the ps4 to the intec? It looks like two usb dongles but i thought the micro usb only has 1 input

it doesnt work with ps3 if you dont have an adapter. the console recognizes it as a pro controller,but it doesnt do anything. and the 8bit do wireless adapters dont work,ive tried it. im not sure which ones work

My local HN has the display model for AU750 but after watching this review I don't think it's worth it. Such a shame that we don't have modern GCon.

I'd mod it and put in a bigger screen. Looks like you could get a 22 inch in there.

I have owned my Time Crisis arcade machine now for 8 months and it is still my favorite out of the 15 Arcade1up machines I own.

I can’t deal with the nudge latency

Have you ever thought of going with emulation. I converted a arcade cabinet. I have a 27 inch screen and bought an SSD from Kris coolmod with over 540 light gun games. It even has Teknoparrot games that are currently in the arcade. I have gun4ir guns, they are the real arcade guns with 24V recoil. I even added a foot pedal.

You get one of those extension outlets with a primary and secondary outlets so if the A1up is in the primary slot it will turn on and off anything attached to the secondary outlets when you switch to slider on the panel. I use one on my xbox and MAME arcade to power everything together and turn off together. They are called smart strips

Did you have to do anything different to get the video to work on the NBA jam edition one? Bought one after watching your video but I cannot get any video output. Works on the TV but not the NBA Jam cab for me. Tried all the switches.

I was really surprised it didn't have all the time crisis games. There are so many! 1, 2, 3, 4, crisis zone, and more I'm sure!

I found one locally brand new at a furniture warehouse for $215 USD and it might be too good of a deal to pass up. Although this review makes me more hesitant

Screen size is the worst thing. I just saw one in marketplace for 600usd but that small screen is an instant no for me...

I dont get it, bought in Denmark mine has Time Crisis 2, 4 games in all.

That controller is still very easy to find nowadays, they even released a red and blue version too.

Coolest arcade cabinet game

My top 4 niggles: Cabinet is too short to say this a product aimed at nostalgic adults, Screen is too small given the height of the unit and persons playing it Light glare is an issue as this isnt a traditional light gun setup.. it appears to use tracking cameras mounted in the guns The recoil feature IS cool but unlike the arcade the mechanism is mechanical and the next trigger pull wont actione until the recoil action has completed, however there is a recoil lock which is a nice touch

Great review, all the information is there for a potential buyer, cabinet looks amazing, but input lag and 720p is a no no. Also it looks as if it is the android version of the games which are inferior to the pinball fx on pc and consoles, such a shame. Their accelerometer nudging is awful, I'll stick to pinball fx on pc for now.

Just got one of these for less than half the retail price. Softmod with retroarch and its a great bit of kit for the price. Wouldnt pay $600 for it, no way.

Did you say you could map the nudge feature to the buttons? Because if you can you could just split those inputs to those buttons and add another button by each flipper button so nudge is easier. The only thing I didn’t like was that on another video I saw the nudge was used by the joystick. But if you can map it it would change my mind. Great video, just got attacked from mars on a good sale because my legends micro died. I’m definitely buying this kit so when the pub overheats and dies I have a cheaper and easier backup than a pc build

My first impresion and critesism of the foot pedal, they should have included two for co op playing.

This sucks. So much potential... such waste... Seriously, for one thing, all these 1up arcades should come with OLEDs, just to better mimick the contrast of old CRTs. And the sreen size is just unacceptable, especially for this kind of game. Also, the fact that the guns have an input lag is again not acceptable. I get that this is caused by the "new" technology (in this case, the analog stone-age CRT tech is actually superior), but if they can't get it done without noticeable lag, they probably shouldn't do it at all.

The recoil of the slide on the time crisis games was one of my favorite things about the original arcade cabinets. The problem is that 1up's recreation of this just feels cheap and terrible. Nothing like the originals. Especially the trigger pull. I believe the recoil of the originals was triggered electronically but here it's a mechanical mechanism that is just uncomfortable.

How are the graphics for time crisis? Is it as good as the actual arcade game, or did they settle with the port for the original playstation?

Worth doing. 1up pcb burn out soon.. 1up have so many to repair under warranty. They saying 6 months parts wait..and stopped making the 1up pinball

That screen is the only thing making me not want to buy it. Is there a way to pop a bigger screen in or will it affect the tracking of the sinden gun?
