6:24 Well, you need to understand the analogical nature of the "ancient mind". The "Hero" (irregardless of culture) was always one that battled the forces of evil (sufferring, sickness/plague, and death), was put through a "patheon" (passion), out of which that Hero conquers death and evil, resurrects or renews himself into a glorious being, who then acts as the "savior" figure for any one that aligns with him or trusts in his "name" or image, or something similar. Most of the Ancient Mystery Schools and Mystery Religions of Greece, Egypt, Rome, etc. were based on these same ideas. Buddhism seems to be just another "flavor" of the Sun Hero's mythological structure - From Innocency, to Battle with Darkness, to Victory, to Ascension, all corresponding to the 4 quarters of the Zodiac wheel (Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring), of which the Sun (Hero) forms the center. It's all Astrotheology to it's core really.

Buddha Shakyamuni is one of only 3 buddhas that will teach tantra. The thing is tantra is very powerful. Just like Je Tsongkhapa who explained tantra. Nichiren was able to put a very powerful tantric mantra into something that lay people can chant and get all the blessings and not need the tantric empowerment to practice tantra. SGI is very different to other schools of buddhism. I will say this Nichirens teachings are a direct line to Buddha Shakyamuni

Hello good people. Can we say that the illusory body that the yogi creates or develops and can be used to travel long distances is the same as what we call the astral body in the Western tradition of astral travelers?

Yea East Asian Mahayana are a product of Chinese Canon (c. 500-1500 CE) wich was made by people from Mahayana movement and Dharmaguptaka wich is out of Vibhajyavada wich is out of Sthaviravada wich is out of the first Schism (c. 390 BCE). East Asian Mahayana also made up Chan (Zen), Pure Land and Tiantai and are one of "The Three Teachings" that is the fundament for Chinese Syncretism (chinese religion) aswell as Taoism and Confucianism. ❤

Thank you for the added perspective! I hadn't heard the term "Three Teachings" before, but now I have. I had always heard that it was the Mahasanghika sect right at the first schism who likely gave rise to the Mahayana, due to their liberal attitudes towards the Vinaya and cosmic Buddha ideas.

I believe my grandpa dad and myself are Abraham Isaac and Jacob. I seen it in a vision but nobody believes me. I seen my grandpa first in the vision and he had light flowing from his eyes. Flat rays of light. Angels sang he didn’t know he was God during the whole vision and after I came back from the Vision. Then my dad’s face appeared and his eyes had flat rays of bright light flowing from his eyes while the chior of angels sang and played the harp. Last in the vision I seen my face and heard the angels sing. I had crosses glowing from my eyes and I was shocked when I came out of the vision and angels were singing over the radio of the car I was in while sitting in the passenger seat. Unfortunately I have sinned and gotten into trouble growing up so my truth of testimony is denied and I am ridiculed. A year after this vision I had another experience and became incarcerated where I asked Jesus to save me and became baptized and born again. One day someone will listen to my testimony and know that I am chosen. Until that day comes I will build barns and pray to King Jesus. I’ve seen Jesus in the clouds on a cross and he showed me wearing armor in the constellation of Orion and I was a statue flexing my right arm as the clouds surrounded me. My grandpa is gone. I wished I would have told him about the vision I had of him and his son. I’ve tried to tell my dad but his heart is hardened.

Cheers for this essay, Shinto mythos and culture was one of the gateways into lifelong pursuit of Japan and its unique role in world history :> I have heard that one's life is Shinto, wedding is Christian, and funeral is Buddhist, which captures well I think the major forces shaping daily life since mid first millennium CE - noting how elements of Confucianism blended into early society and early-mid Tokugawa isolationism prior to the Meiji Restoration.

to be honest, i have always believed that humanity need to religion, some kind of at least, more spirtual maybe and less intolerant for sure, common and shared values between humans, you can't let humans souls for mess, meaningless, and not everyone have luxury to think of philosophy and the meaning of life in capitalism world, so there should be standard values everyone agree on, and for sure you can make your own one

Ali - cousin of prophet Muhammed - said that this 2.5% are the zakat a poor person is giving. So actually in Quran there is no such number like 2.5% of assets. as a muslim you should - if you can - give more than this 2.5% away to poors. Getting entry to eternal paradise isnt that easy. this 2.5% come from madhabs teachings which are mostly not correct and in harmony with Quran´s real Islam!
