8x6.5 same as older Chevy dodge and most 8lug equipment trailers.

Does your SUV do fine without the trailer breaks?
@outpostphx87515 ай бұрын
Yes, when I had it, no problem braking, the trailer was les than 1700lbs fully loaded

Pretty sweet setup. I used to tow the exact same trailer for years. I keep it all original. I had Kevlar tires which were savage looking. 😀. Always had comments from lookie loos. I recommend you mount the spare underneath. Close to axel. You have room down there. To reduce drag, you could also have a sloping cover to improve aerodynamics. Ditch the hitch you have. Limits your access to trailer. And looks awful. I don’t know how I would like my tent to be perched up there. lol Cool setup of that works for you! Btw. The A3s are rated for 1.5Tons.

Thanks! I actually sold of the trailer about a year ago, but it was an awesome project to build and we got a lot of use out of it in the Arizona wilderness! But I got the itch and had to move on to other projects, like mini bikes!

I have a 1963 Bearkat ...bought it 4 months ago. Tecumseh H60...Comet torque convertor,, back tire mini tractor tire. It's a bit akward due to not much rake on the front fork. Everything original. That rear kickstand is SUPER USEFUL.....don't throw it away !!! If you want to see it...hit me back and we'll link up somehow.

Love the 101 conversion Elliot... Cool stuff and yes, the Coleman is interestingly modifyable as well. :) Once you run your Twister, you'll probly want a torque converter on the coleman as well:)
@outpostphx87514 жыл бұрын
Already put a stage 1 kit on the Coleman, tons of fun! The Twister is almost done... just need a belt.

Let me know how the Predator fits the mount plate.... I'm thinking of doing a 212cc conversion on one of my BearKats... thanks, Chris
@DC-vx6ed2 ай бұрын
Predator fits but very very tight, if using original band brake.

keep the faith Brother... your'e doing a great project... Twisters are a great machine. I have several and every time I work on them I realize how much I missed doing this earlier. Dump the chains.. Grainger has sprockets and chains reasonably... I put one of my Twister front fork units on a tote gote I have and it's stout... The Twisters were made to race and can take mucho punishment on the trail...
