Oof a bad day for us is 1800 bucks w 5k items

James, it is good to know that I'm not the only one who been struggling with ebay sales recently, past 2 months been struggle but this Oct, my sale dropped like 50%. I have lost motivation to list new items b/c I know it is POINTLESS. I will tell you that most ebay executives are DUMBF*CKS who is clueless about reselling. These bunch of DUMBTARDS can't figure out how to keep their website running without any glitches. When I started ebay 9 years ago, NOBODY crosslisted or even had their own website, but now it is common thing to see many ebay seller to branch out to another selling platform/have their own website b/c ebay can't run their SHIT together. In the past, I have worked in white collar and blue collar job environment and I have encountered many USELESS people in my life and I bet most ebay executives fits this criteria. They are throwing many SHITS on the wall to see if what sticks and ALL THE SHITS FELL OFF THE WALLS. Ebay website is a SHIT (with many glitches) and rather than focusing the problem, they instead expand the problem. As a seller there is NO F*CKING motivation to list more NEW items b/c I know that this will NOT help with increase sales in fact it hurt sales. This current Ebay CEO has done MORE damage to ebay than any competitor ever done, I would like to ask him, WHAT THE F*CK ARE YOU DOING? I'm SO TIRED of this never ending BULLSHIT!

I agree with the old stores theory. My thinking is that they want to get rid of the old generation of sellers and bring in fresh meat who won't challenge the advertising scams they pull lol

I dont understand all your complaining. Most people right now are struggling to get 1 or 2 sales p/d and here you are crying like a little baby that you're not reaching 1200 in sales? Come on James. Dont be ungrateful. Seriously, you need to change your tune or get better products to sell. Nobody sides with someone complaining that they only made 700 in a day.

They are making the site in Q4 as intended for what they want it to do and where they want traffic/sales to go,

This month has been crippling. My anxiety is through the roof. Traffic sucks and sales are atrocious 😢

I think they do this every Q4 so they can brag to stockholders what new releases and functionality they have launched to pacify their lack of earnings outside of feeing the crap out of sellers.

Etsy did a lot of updates in 4th quarter too. I'm guessing they are trying to maximize profits or something. The forums were full of complaints every year. It is irritating though. Yesterday I was having all kinds of errors.

I was getting over 100 sales a day up until the last 2 month. It got worse and worse each day to the point where I barely get around 50 sales a day now. I know this isn’t due economy, I am convinced beyond a doubt it is eBay. What’s worse is that I have dozens of stores and no matter how many products I list almost nothing is converting to sales. In my almost 20 years of selling on eBay I have never seen it this bad.

What type of device are you on ? Does it need a firmware update? You pointing the blame at eBay, but not being transparent.

Thanks for the info James :) I have a second account I havent used in a year. I may have to look into this as an option as I have been seeing similar movements and reductions of sales on my main account for sometime now. I think I will wait till new year and then incrimentally move catagories across over time too.

What's sad is that I have over 4000 items and first it hard to make $1000 a week and I now have 10% promoted listings. I'm starting to think that a higher percentage doesn't help. I keep hearing people say 2 to 4% is enough and having lower prices and lots of sales that end every 3 to 4 days. What i'm noticing is that sales were great Saturday ad Sunday then died after that. At 5% promoted Ebay has been taking about 30 to 40% in fees, At 10% Ebay takes about 40 to 60% of my fees. That's just nuts. It's higher Canadian Shipping price and higher taxes that kills it for me. I think i'm going to drop back my percentage because i'm not convinced it's helping me anymore.

I tried this for my account back in June / July. This TANKED all sales. I let it go for a little over a month to get it some time. Had 2 sales all day every day on the new store with 12,000 shoes. So I moved everything back to my old store. My sales are even worse now after that whole endeavor. Was a colossal waste of time for me. Hope it works better for you! My sales chart looked IDENTICAL to how yours currently looks back before July of 2023... man I miss those days. Been at this over 15 years and ever since July of 2023, no matter what I do I can NEVER go over a $500 day. I have even tried putting all my shoes at $9.99 just to see if I can go over the $500. Sales would POP OFF. for a couple hourse... until I hit $500 and then sales shut off until the next day. I think the only hope tons of resellers have anymore is to create your own website and do all the leg work to market and promote yourself and all of your own traffic. My opinion... but man I sure miss those good old days lol

I had huge sale’s yesterday but 1 today & traffic is flat! I was told yesterday after I complained that eBay was charging promoted on regular sales.. they said if a person watches my item or uses a coupon it is now classed as promoted .. WHAT 🤓 no wonder my promoted went up 75/25 instead of 50/50! Fleecing again! More & more .. they said it can take 2 days for a sold item to show it was sold by promoted even though I get charged right away! NOT COOL..,

I notice when doing selling similar listing to research current selling pricing. It seems the newer sellers with lower feedback rating have a higher selling sold price than the older accounts with a higher feedback rating that sold with lower price 🤔 my items are a niche DVD, Blu-ray and Steelbooks and etc category. My sales are so up and down. I now have more items listed ever since I started ebay and have made less money with more items listing over the current period of time 🤔 It seems I just keep listing items with no sales and storage with unsold inventory is piling up. James, I still want that Motley Crue CD from 5 years ago...I'm patient waiting, no hurry 😏🤣😎

C'mon. People are broke due to the Biden/Harris economic disaster. Has nothing to do with new store/old store/ebay blah blah blah. I know a dog breeder & she said she can't give away puppies that used to fly off the shelf for 2 grand apiece.

I have two stores that were created about 5 years apart. If I have a good day on one store the other store sucks and back and forth. I only started using the newer store within the last six months because my sales were stagnant on the older store. Once I started listing on the newest account my sales started falling on the older account and now my sales on both accounts are the same per month as they were when I was only using one account. Face it people they throttle your account and they can do it on multiple accounts now that they have your social security number for payments.

So many USPS issues have caused so many problems. I hate calling eBay it's so frustrating that nothing ever gets resolved. Ugh!!!!!!!!!

I am very interested in seeing how this experiment works out.

I use Inkfrog for listing and mostly love it. Haven't found a way to do more than 50 bulk edits at a time, so it is a bit difficult to change thousands of items.
