This is changing everything for me. I have suspected for a long time there was something in the breath, and I read some books and courses. But this short video opened my eyes. Thank you.

Thank you Glyn! The great and best explanation of Biofeedback. Does that mean that to get the best results biofeedback practices have to be done with open eyes to see data on screen for taking actions?

Glyn, I totally relate to what you are saying. Thank you! I wondered what was wrong with me. Deep breathing with the HeartMath Inner Sensor app and guided meditation, sometimes make me anxious and lightheaded. I thought something might be wrong with my heart. I often feel like I don't have enough air when I try the deep breathing. It stresses my heart and makes me feel "spacey".

So happy I found your channel via your website. Wonderful breakdown. Trying to get my life together after unemployment and a breakup, which showed me there is immense room for growth for me and my potential. I think the key here is to get my emotionality under control and channel it toward something good. Never considered stress to be a major factor , but realised that it is the very thing affecting my ability to function as I desire!

Glen... Thank you for sharing this great video.. I have been a Reflexologist for 31 years now... and getting ready to be Certified as a Life Coach and Certification for Hypnotherapy... I have been doing NLP Neuro Linguistic Programing. I really want to do Biofeedback... I had this done years ago and it was amazing. I think in this day and time, we need to SEE Results quicker and not just rely on the thoughts and statements of a therapist. I am also School Teacher and have seen over the years that problems with children are getting worse. I really want to help children with Biofeedback. I truly believe that in this day and age, Biofeedback is needed even more... My Question is this: Can you Certify me? What are the steps I need to take to be certified and where can I buy the equipment? I have seen Biofeedback equipment on Amazon!!! I don't need anything too fancy, I really want to be able for my clients, especially in Reflexology to be able to SEE and FEEL their accomplishments in real time. NLP/Hypnosis is great, and I think incorporating Biofeedback will just be one more reason for a person to gain knowledge and wisdom for their health. Please let me know if you can Certify me, I'm assuming on line, since I'm here in the USA... Thank you again for your video. Judi Christopher

Hi Judi, thanks for your comments and questions. Please can you contact me by email, you can find my details on my website, www.stressresilientmind.co.uk - I can answer your points more fully but in short, I can teach you how to work with biofeedback but can't offer any recognised "certification".

@@glynblackett Thank you Glen for you're reply... I didn't get this reply, I just happened to click on this video again to watch it, and noticed you had replied!! Good thing I checked. I can get Certified somewhere else ... but can't find the equipment to use. I don't want to spend $9000. on (their) machine! I feel sometimes companies (give) the certification which we pay for and I totally understand why, but to charge an outrageous price for their machine is too much... I just want a simple machine that I can use on my Reflexology clients, that I work on, plus my other clients for NLP/Hypnotherapy.... Biofeedback is so amazing, especially to WATCH in REAL Time, it really help the Clinician and client to SEE what is taking place in the Mind/Body connection. Question: Do you know where I can buy the Biofeedback machine, even a simple one to start out with? Thank you for your help and your replies, most appreciated.

@@glynblackett I really love your WEB Page... Very inviting!!! Easy to READ too! Please let me know when you'll be able to sell me equipment and what I have to do before buying. In the meantime I'll be watching all of your videos... I don't know if I have mentioned this or not.. I have been a Reflexologist for 31 years now... and use NLP with my clients... EFT "Tapping"... I'm scheduled to be Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist in 2020... Being a Licensed Teacher, I feel and want to incorporate the biofeedback with children and adolescents, because in this day and time, it is amazing the stress, especially peer pressure they go through. (A lot of my students call me "Yoda".) I have taught a class at our college NMSU called, "How to deal with a Bully, without become a Thug!" This class has been amazing.. first I just had victims, then the next year I had victims and bullies... Role-reversal is fantastic, since I teach Acting for Film and Theatre... we can put this on stage and (have fun) and at the same time, LEARN how both Victim/Bullies feel. ooppps... I didn't mean to write a short novel, I'm just passionate about helping people, especially kids... Thank you Glyn, hope to hear from you soon. Have a Happy New Year... 2020

How is overbreathing different from deep breathing such as during meditation?
@glynblackett5 жыл бұрын
Ventilation = air exchanged per minute = breaths per minute x size of each breath Let's say you're meditation and breathing slowly and deeply. If by "deep" you mean low down in the body, from the diaphragm, then that's good. It isn't over-breathing as long as the size of each breath is small. But for a lot of people deep breathing means taking large breaths - a lot of air exchanged per breath. Too large breaths, even if the breaths are slow, mean over-breathing. That's a problem and won't help meditation. My own experience of meditation has been that when I'm at my most focused, stillest, the breath is hardly perceptible - i.e. very very gentle breaths. But still deep as in from the diaphragm. Just a little ripple of the diaphragm. Hope that helps.

Hi Glyn, Excellent and well presented. As a physician who works with prolonged stress related conditions - medicine labels them as functional somatic conditions - mastering your breath response to stress is an essential skill. Wonderful, clear and scientific teaching. Good wishes, David Beales Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians FRCP.

Hi Glynn.... Love your series of videos. Am going to share w/ clients I work with if you don't mind (I do capnography & biofeedback like yourself, but am only a year into (currently securing an MS in breathing sciences -- maybe you know Dr. Peter Litchfield)... wondering what type of capnography instrument you use with your software. A few of us are trying to find some less expensive alternatives ... We currently use Better Physiology's Capnometer and CapnoPlus .... but pretty pricey. Thank you for any insight. Mark

HI, after several trip to the emergency because of complete black outs, I was positive to a Tilt Test and my diagnose was Neurocardiogenic syncope(NCS) also referred to as vasovagal syncope or neurally mediated syncope where blood pression and heart rate drop drastically "for no reason". I have been suffering with it for more then 20 years. After many useless tentative with medicine that only tried to cure the symptoms, I came across study on biofeedbacks,Technology Heart Rate Coherence Application and NeuroCardial Synchronization. Do you think it can help ? Do you have any resources where my problem is been studied and even cured with HRV? It is very important to me to be able to cure my problem, please help! Thanks a lot!
