I have to try this recipe. You can actually rub the plantain slices with avocado oil, and bake them 10 minutes on each side at 350 degrees. This cuts back on all that oil

I love Pastelon! I'm making it for the first time on Saturday for an International Dinner my Church is having and I like your recipe better than the other videos I've seen. It looks simple and very similar to making lasagna (which I'm great at) I'm mixed with Puerto Rican and Italian so, I got this. Thanks to you and your video I feel more confident about making it. Thank you! ❤😊

How long do you fry the plantain?
@AtTheDSpot2 ай бұрын
Couple minutes on each side. Be careful though. The more ripe the bananas the quicker they will cook and carmelize

What’s savron and what’s sofrito? Saw it in the menus list and want to be sure where to get it from or how to make it so my dish can be as authentic or close to yours as possible. Thank you! Looks amazing, can’t wait to make it 🤗
@AtTheDSpot3 ай бұрын
Look up Goya sazon and Goya sofrito. Those will get you started. Then you can learn to make your own fresh sofrito but the Goya will do just fine

Just to clarify something, Gordon Ramsey does know how to make awesome fish and chips, in London, not in Vegas, if there is a restaurant in Vegas that has the name "Gordon Ramsey's" on it, that means that he shows up once a year to get a picture taken and collects a check for 5% of the gross, he has nothing to do with the food, that is all Caesars. And yes, it's the Codfather for the win every time.
