It's the uncaptured recoil rod. I put in a captured recoil rod, and it works just fine. It wouldn't go into battery properly until I did that.

Good video, I’d love to see some drawing / re-holstering. Is the regrettable spend for the Tier 1 Concealment? I don’t use an IWB but I review gear professionally and I’ve ordered one of these to test it out. Overall I liked your frank and honest video in a conversational style.

I didn't think I'd like it, didn't really want to like it for some reason but it's grown on me. It's in my edc rotation now, you get used to the weird feeling button on the pivot lock and the 440A blade holds up better than any 440A or C blade I've ever had. It's almost on point with D2, definitely better than 8CR on edge retention. Idk if it's just because of the coating or if that even affects the edge but ive only had to sharpen ot once in about 3 months

If I have a rough country 3.5 lift already are these adding to the current lift? Or just struts designed to ride better at 3.5?
@redbeard_reviews1Ай бұрын
They are just for ride, not to add extra height.

How does it compare to a T1 holster?
@redbeard_reviews12 ай бұрын
It’s much better. Slimmer profile, flexible with the body, less material used, and it’s modular for any type of IWB carry. All for 1/4 the price of a T1

So far so good! I still like these and have had zero problems getting through slop and snow. On the interstate they’re a little loud, but I wouldn’t buy mud tires if I had it as a daily driver.

What is the difference between the G4 SUV vs. G4? I have a 2023 Mazda CX 5, P225/65R17. I live out in Colorado and am prioritizing an all-weather tire that performs well in snow conditions. Should I be looking at getting the G4 SUV?
@redbeard_reviews14 ай бұрын
I would check on Nokian's website to know for sure. That or talk to your local tire dealer. They should steer you in the right direction! I think it should be the G4 SUV for the CX 5, since it falls in an SUV/CUV type vehicle, but it's always good to check.
@waay823 ай бұрын
I think the main difference is that the SUV Edition has aramid fiber in the side wall. If you go with the WR G5, there is no regular and SUV line. All have Aramid Fiber in the sidewall.

Just so you know this is a exact clone of the Zev G19 magwell that costs 110.00. The screw is black on the Zev as well and they don't offer any color other than black. I think it looks sick. It's the glossy paint job on the frame that looks cheezy. Strip the frame and Rit die it.
@redbeard_reviews13 ай бұрын
That was duracoat for the frame paint. I was trying to get close to the Glock tan. I’m not as impressed as I thought I would be on it several paint jobs in.
@safequeenking28843 ай бұрын
@@redbeard_reviews1 Hey man strip it and buy some rit dye. I did some frames and they look OEM. you can mix colors. I did dark cherry plum with purple and black. ODgreen with chocolate brown and green.

The Nokian G4 is a good tire for places where you do not have enough snow to justify a dedicated winter tire (it deliver balanced performance across the seasons). I could even went thru difficult mountain routes (rough terrain, lots of rocks), and thanks to its Aramid sidewalls I have never had an issue. It lasted around 34K miles though (the G3 lasted around 38K). If the G5 has a better treadwear, it will become my favorite tire.

A couple winters now and they definitely handle well on the packed snow and some ice. I’m glad I don’t have to switch out in the summer!

I personally carry a 43 with a HGW slide. Had the same issue. After about 100 rnds and about 300 cycles of racking and dry fire. Works just as smooth as my OEM slide. Cerakote increases the thickness so you have to wear it down a little. But have not had any issues and sitting at about 800rnds through it.
@user-wo2rc3bf4x4 ай бұрын
Anyone have an HGW slide, and were you able to talk with or even message with anyone there? I’ve messaged them Three (3) times with no response. I have a few important questions before I spend $440, but nobody will respond. I’ve learned the hard way that any business that won’t respond to important questions or provide a phone number tends to be unreliable.

My daughter has them on her Toyota Yaris a small FWD car. Don’t get a lot of snow up here in the NW where we live but they work great when we do. Wet weather traction and braking is also very good . She doesn’t drive a lot so can’t say a lot about wear but she’s had them about 2 years and still look new . I may decide to go with them on my Outback

I have heard to rack the slide 500x before shooting a round threw it.
@kjayclowers124 ай бұрын
1. I believe it takes a little time for the working internals to break in a work together 2. Your slide may need extra oil 3. You might want to try a different mag to see if anything changes

Great review, I liked them on my Grand Cherokee summit. 5.7 ltr. Good road holding and hydroplane resistant. They lasted around 22,000 miles before needing replacement. Rotated every 5000 miles. ( normal on a permanent AWD vehicle)
