Hi again after so long I bought the H5..what flash sync cable do you suggest to my 645 Super or what did you use on the RB67?seems both accept a female connector..a link would be great..thanks

@gusatvoschiavon definitely couldn't use it for live insect macro at 2x or more. How many rolls would it take to shoot 100-300 images and how much time? Probably longer than any insect is will to sit for 😅😂 Maybe still subjects in a studio... if I scanned each one and then ran them through helicion... But that's just stupid 😅.

@ I mean when you scan the photo to put it on a computer, there is inherent compression converting it to digital.

If you’re using Darktable (alas, not great on non-Intel Macs), then this also has a tethering option. If you’re just using it for capturing (not editing), does the back have any option for a card? If so, shooting blind, as you do with film, could be fun

But it's not a print, that's a KZbin short, coded with some low bitrate and a lossy codec to transfer the video (not a photo) across the ocean. How am I supposed to see the photo through KZbin short? 😅 P.S. Usually with up to 4x6 prints 35mm is great. Larger prints require larger formats. But there's different film, different ISO and a lot of other nuances...

@@camerandotclick I saw your website. Nice photos 👍. But, to be fair, there was grain visible even on some 3MP scans (about 2000x1600 pixels). And I'm not saying that grain is bad. The grain is just the grain. Some film has larger grain, some - smaller. And that's fine. Sometimes it's even charming.

Holy cow, you did it! You did exactly what I was obsessed with: somehow adapting my Mamiya RB67 gear to work with a digital back. (and not spending blues lawyer money to do so) I gave up on the idea myself for the most part, I didn't think there was anything out there that would work. I took it one small step closer, I adapted the lenses to work with a Canon 1Ds with a Fotodiox adapter. It's all kind of janky and super heavyweight, though. I think I should just stop fighting and just shoot film on it like it was designed to do, but I still think it's cool that you got it to shoot with a digital back. Nice.

I have also done some tests with Fotodiox adapters - really cool (but niche) piece of kit - I want to teach myself some 3D modeling so I can CNC some of my own parts

Yo bro nice Argus camera I also have one that is Vintage. Mine is the shape of a brick (I got mine from a Swap in meet in thousand oaks that sells only Vintage items) There is a large selection in the swap and meet like hundreds of small and large cameras, old soda glass bottles, old toys, Clothes, and a lot of cool things there

It has been discontinued and has a particular grain and tonality that is highly sought after. Really up to your personal taste but I like this and Panatomic-X which is also pretty cool.

The mouth noises are not good and the voice is too growly (like a smoker, good tone but raspy). Talk smoothly and edit your wet mouth noises out and it’ll be on point.

Mmm.. about the voltage? Old battery has 10v... your pack is about 12v. Does it work?

Only 3x3x2V so ~10V on the volt meter! But generally yes, minimum is 10, I would probably stay under 12
