I could imagine that FORESTELLA is currently avoiding videos in which, in retrospect, the member Ko WooRim would always be missing. On the other hand, 1 1/2 years without an official video is a very long time, and important to stay in the conversation. That's why this "Lyrics Video" seems desirable to me and pretty well done! I find the new song itself much more interesting, and this is another highlight for me for many reasons. The images fit the mood and the profound lyrics exactly. And they also fit perfectly with the outstanding, floating FORESTELLA endless harmonies that weave around the extremely touching vocals. What more could you want here??

This was their first video (actually the only one so far) to have all four VoicePlay baritones in the video. Layne was their first baritone, before they were even known as VoicePlay. When their beatboxer (Scott Porter) left to pursue his acting career Layne took over beatboxing and Tony Wakim became their baritone. He was the walk on character here, but he was on set as he often is to help with the direction. When Tony decided he wanted to just work on the production end of things (and he hated touring), J None was brought in as baritone. He left a couple years ago to join the US Navy and sing with their premier chorus, The Sea Chanters, Cesar came on as their new permanent baritone. But J still comes back as featured. So you can talk about all the bass, but the real story here was the four baritones!

I think you will hear Layne singing the most in True Colours. It was done several years ago and is gorgeous. No beatboxing at all.

Speaking of ‘how did they make that sound?’ I’m amazed that Layne managed castanets in this. I shouldn’t be. He has done other sounds that are really more amazing. But those castanets are so very apt for a song about a Roma dancer.

His voice is so wonderful, blessed and fantastic that no matter which language he sings his voice in, it looks like it penetrates our body and invades our soul. I feel a peace of mind listening to him sing. I don't know if that was my comment you read but I said it was his father playing guitar. Another of their songs, "The Way You Make Me Feel," was submitted by a frequent collaborator for consideration in two categories. We'll find out on Nov. 8th if that happens.

Mad you knew who Boyzone were and used to know their names, because you couldn't escape them back in the day, yet didn't know they were from Ireland! Funny you should that about Ronan having a country voice, his early solo work at least had some country influences as he was a massive fan of the genre. He's still regularly releasing music and touring even if he isn't as big as he was years ago. This song actually has a deeper meaning than the usual boyband fayre (boybands are my favourite so I'm not being a snob at all!). It was written by Andrew Lloyd Webber for the musical Whistle Down The Wind. He asked them to do a version for a TV show, people demanded it be released following the performance and it went on to be their biggest hit. RIP Stephen Gately and your beautiful, angelic voice (the other lead guy in this). He died suddenly aged 33 in 2009 from an undiagnosed heart condition. Still breaks my heart as he was my childhood idol.
