Another tip, I often will start my run on a difficult to get to patch, drinking my potion and starting there, saving the quick ones for while I’m on the clock ⏰ 🧪

Old school Runescape was really difficult. Without any attack skills or healing skills, you just hit back and forth, eating food to heal. A lot of people who like OSRS are just suckers for punishment.

You can right click the herb patch to configure it to the number of seeds you want to plant. Then you won't have to select how many seeds every time.

I'd say it's really personal. Some people really prefer the more relaxed approach of RS3, others like the oldschool MMORPG and grindy style of OSRS. Just depends really. They're both good games!

@@Stormion Yeah. As a player since 2004 (who took various breaks in the game), I loved the new EoC update. The old "hit back and forth watching the numbers and eating food" combat was so stale, and leveling took FOREVER. I personally think most OSRS people are gluttons for punishment.

I played it for 25 hours and fell in love with it, but due to university commitments, I had to take a break. Honestly, I want to get back into it so badly, but I am unsure about what to focus on early on. Guess KZbin will probably save me 🙃

Feel like the argument points were kind of bland for the rs3 side of things. Old-school had actual points as to why they should win. Rs3 player, and not trying to be rude. Just my honest opinion.

The only reason I don't plan on playing osrs is they refuse to make the rs3 toolbelt. It's such a huge quality of life upgrade that needs to be implemented but they just won't.

@@Stormion I don't know why they wouldn't. Other than to stubbornly keep osrs the way it is. But considering how they're getting sailing soon and how there already is a vastly inferior tool belt mod on runelite it doesn't make sense why they don't add it.

gotta give it to rs3 having played from 06, reason being the immersive boss fights with multiple combat styles on top of voice acted quests. Granted both are amazing games it just depends on preference imo. Saying rs3 is bad like some do is hilarious to me because in that genre there simply aren't games with that much in game variety(things to do depending on what someone likes).

Hell yea bro this is awesome. I'm wondering though what the debate on who the real OG is? I'd say RS3 Is the OG. Yea you could say OSRS was at time of initial forking, but with recent updates it's now a different game than what the original version of runescape would become (ie what rs3 is now) into a what is OSRS today.

Allthough osrs has changed a lot over the years, it's still the game that's closest to what Runescape used to start off with and gained its popularity from. That's why i named osrs the OG. In terms of the actual game, RS3 is indeed the OG ofcourse 😁

Love it! I wish you would have mentioned more of the specific content within each game. Maybe you could reference the six extra skills of RS3 and how OSRS has tried three times to put new skills into the game (which OSRS could rebuttal about how they aren't even fun). You could also talk about quests, citing RS3's more extensive story but maybe OSRS could rebuttal that with how the OSRS story is more charming and understandable. You could also talk about OS-exclusive content like Kourend and Zulrah, and you could say that OSRS is player-driven with content polls (which is a point that could be used by both sides). You could even have OSRS reference Legacy Mode on RS3 and how some RS3 players won't even use RS3's combat system I think that the nostalgia point falls flat when you consider that OSRS has been receiving continuous updates over the past ten years while still being faithful to the older parts of the game.

OSRS sorry but with that 1st line you are not the OG the original the best. RS3 is the OG the original game it created OSRS after all. Plugins and Mods are just that they aren't part of the game. And should never be used to review a game. When RS3 needs a QOL update it gets puts into the actual game and not as a mod. I have to give it to RS3. Great Rap battle

The ability to add mod is 100% fair game. Its why Skyrim is so loved and had such a long lifespan. Without Runelite I would not be playing osrs at all. I don't need to wait for a QOL update, its done right away by the community with a mod. No hate to RS3 and people who love it, but there is a reason I'm not playing it.

@@lordfrz9339 Mods should never be fair game no matter the game. It's the basic version. The version that everyone has access to. The version which all players fell in love with. It's the version the developer gave to the world. You discarding all that, via looking at a game with mods. I tend to play OSRS with little or zero mods. It's my preferred way to play. If you can't play OSRS without mods, that shows a big problem with OSRS. One of those being QOL, if will never enter the base game, because a mod exist.

@@johnbalkin8223 mods make it fun, its entertainment. I dont care what the base game is if its a pain in the ass to play or boring. I dont want to wait months for a qol fix, ill just go find a new game. If an enhancment is what makes it fun, then im gonna grade it with that enhancement with the specification you need that enhancement for my review of the game to work.

@@johnbalkin8223 and yea osrs would suck to me without the qol mods. No amount of qol added by jagex could compete with the open source modding community, any random annoyance i can get a mod to fix. Jagex is not going ro add a qol change that only efect a few idiots who find somthing bothersome, but a mod in rl will ezpz. And you who like to play it pure can, no one is forcing a qol chage tou might not like on you. Mods arent a sign the game is bad, its a huge benefit in my book. Without mods, I would not play wow as much as I have either. Letting the community modify things makes the game fun.

You said Jagex isn't going to add a QOL change that only effect a few idiots. They do on RS3 all the time. Jagex has the ability to do it for OSRS as well. This is about RS3 VS OSRS. And not RS3 VS Your Personal OSRS. I can't play your Personal version of OSRS, but I can play the base OSRS. So that's the version which is going up against RS3.
