I think maybe Pastor Shawn needs to read the entire book of Malachi in context. The narrative was limited to the nation of Israel and further narrowed specifically towards the Levitical Priests in Malachi 1:9, 2:1, and 3:3. The tithe indictment in Malachi 3:10 can't be universally applied either historically or currently and it had nothing to do with paying money to a religious organization.

I was tired in church last Sunday, I had my head down, and when this gifted singer started singing this song 20:41, I felt the Spirit all in church, if you listen carefully you can hear everyone started praising, an Pastor spoke a great sermon right after, Glory be to GOD

These days, anyone with charisma or the ability to speak well can become a preacher. There’s no need to know how to properly exegete a passage of the Bible-just allegorize and share personal stories. Is it any wonder that many Christians lack a deep understanding of Scripture? Or that we see the falling away predicted in the last days? The emphasis on charisma over solid biblical teaching has significantly contributed to the spiritual weakness of many believers. I say this with love, and I continually pray for the church.
