Not even slightly. I discovered this song back in the 90s when I was a kid and have loved it ever since. My hope is that this video makes more people aware of The Zeros. If anyone gets paid, it should be them.

Nice one. Keep on rocking with Slade and Rock! A bit of rough distorion could do the trick!🎶👍

Sorry but I keep coming back to this. Among so many other great aspects of this arrangement, I love the bass run on "You didn't answer my letter..."

THIS is the treatment this song deserves. Well done! But according to the description, the first thing you recorded was the acoustic and vocal? Even before drums?
@BrentSeavers6 ай бұрын
Yep! That's Correct. Acoustic and Vocals (there was a little bleed in the vocal mic, but I phase inverted it with the DI of the acoustic and got rid of most of it.) Then I wore headphones and played along to the vocal/guitar tracks. Sometimes I wear large headphones (if what I'm recording is loud) or a single earbud if I'm going direct in. It's not a lip sync. It's a multi-track performance capture on video and into a DAW at the same time :-)

@@BrentSeavers Did you have a click track when you laid down the initial guitar-and-vocal track?
@BrentSeavers6 ай бұрын
@@pacbilly I had a silent flashing metronome running on my laptop next to the lyrics, which sat just under the camera. 138bpm I think.
@pacbilly6 ай бұрын
@@BrentSeavers Ah! Well thanks for the peek behind the curtain. I wondered how you could have pulled it off, cutting drums after the fact. And again, your cover of this song is the best I've stumbled across so far. Great work!
