Human creations are so rigid they eventually break. That fact is well known by engineers and architects. Nature is elastic and much less likely to break. Incorporating Nature's methods into human structures , while seemingly impossible currently, is achievable and necessary. Good work on this topic. Enjoyed the thoughtfulness. Everything begins somewhere. 👏

He created a space for himself which itself is magnificent, it appears empty simultaneously that’s what he surely aimed for and the little fireplace in this workspace is awesome. He doesn’t need to leave 😂 it’s looks lovely. He mentioned he feels sensitive to materials and spaces etc definitely something comprehensive that’s the reason it’s so empty it’s letting his nerves calm down since their are no stimulus which lets his creativity flow. What is most lovely about architecture is that a humans can design it the way it most reflect himself and what he feels within which is contradicting to most but appealing to the one who lives there and something that makes homes unique.

You know, the human body isn’t the ideal form for these manufacturing processes… a wheeled lower half would be much more efficient and and articulating cameras and sensors instead of a head on a pivot would provide a larger field of view. Just stick to humanoids for the sex stuff and more purpose built for everything else.

Why does this robot walk with a slight slouch at the waist? Few humanoid robots have toes, but doesn't the lack of toes make the robot's balance look odd? This robot does not balance on its toes like a human, so its walk is like a human walking with its center of gravity on its heels.

Why are we making humanoid robots. Why are we making robots look like people? Shouldn’t we just make robots shapes and features operate the way that we need them to? Instead of making them look like people and then training them on how to use that body? This just seems very creepy to me. Still amazing of course! But it just feels wrong that we’re making them look like people.
@nutbastard3 ай бұрын
We are making humanoid robots because all of the spaces we want them to operate in, all of the machines we want them to interact with, all of the thing we want them to build, are designed to be navigated and manipulated by humans. We could make a two foot tall spider shaped robot, which may have some applications, but it won't be driving a car, and it won't be able to dig a hole with a shovel. Climb a ladder, open doors, use your stove to make a cheeseburger, hammer a nail. The human form offers incredible versatility, especially when paired with tools designed around that form. It may not prove to be the best design, but it is a really, really good starting point. Human locomotion and fine manipulation are the best on the planet, so it is prudent to go with what works. Yes, a cheetah can run faster than a person, but it can't turn a screwdriver or wash dishes.

If you didn't have an incredibly well evolved foot, you would walk like that too. You should look up videos of people who have lost toes to frostbite or accidents and see how they walk, it is virtually identical. Even just losing your pinky toe is devastating to "natural" mobility.
