My musical tastes have evolved backward. I started out listening to industrial/goth music then got into metal. I'm in my 40s now, and I'm okay admitting that the best music came out in the 80s and 90s. There are random exceptions. Godflesh is still releasing cool music. But even the newer industrial acts like Street Sects and Youth Code seem to have vanished since COVID.

The best years are long gone - the memories of the times 1984-1988 remain, were awesome and special. we saw them live in Germany every year with their cool shows, although it slowly started to decline in 1988 - no corresponding albums and the shows, since the scene was changing massively at the time, weren't the same as in the first years either - so we were out and it was over ..
