Hi Kevin! Thank you so much! I modified the portable booth again since this video. Went with a smaller triangular shape to save space and utilize my resources better. :)

Thank you so much for the studio update! 🙏🎙 Your creativity and practical solutions are so inspiring. I love the idea of having a monitor in the booth and all the clever hacks like the sock monkey and towels for sound absorption! 🐵🔊 The treadmill desk is genius! 🏃‍♂💻 Question: Do you have any tips for keeping the booth cool without compromising sound quality? 🌬❄ Your fan trick is great, but I'm wondering if there's anything else that might help during long sessions. Thanks again for sharing your journey and wisdom! 🙌🎧

Hey there! Great question! For a temporary solution, you might be able to attach a large flexible duct tube from the nearest AC vent, keep the closet door ajar, and place the tube into the closet. You would have to cover the gap in the door as having the door open would make a difference in the noise floor and quality of audio. At least in my booth, it did. I could hear reverb when the door was ajar. You could make a clip attachment on the AC vent end so you could easily remove it as I am not sure how good it would be for tour AC to leave it attached all the time. If you want something more permanent, you could add a vent in the closet and add additional ductwork. Hope you are having fun recording! 😀

Thank you for the detailed advice on cooling the booth. Your suggestion of using a large flexible duct tube is quite innovative. Considering the potential impact on the noise floor and audio quality, could you recommend any specific materials or techniques to minimize the reverb and noise when the door is ajar? Additionally, for a more permanent solution involving added ductwork and a vent in the closet, do you have any recommendations on how to best integrate this without compromising the soundproofing of the booth? Your expertise is greatly appreciated!

I have a Question. Are you a freelancer voice artist🥰, & Why you create a youtube channel
@CaraHillVoiceoverArtist
@CaraHillVoiceoverArtist 10 ай бұрын
Hi there! Yes! I love creating voiceovers for people and making their project or idea come to life! Initially, the purpose of my youtube channel was to share the joys of voice-over life and techniques with people. However, creating a channel with a purpose is a skill I still need to learn. Do you do voice overs? 😀

I have researched your channel and I found some problem and mistake in your channel, your videos don't get many views for that. If you want, I can explain your mistakes to you.💝 I'm a Digital Marketer and I'm expert on KZbin management.

Notes from today's session after the new setup: I shaved off time in post editing outside of the hot booth. Highly recommend this. There is a huge difference in the sound quality being at the front vs the back of the closet. It is a muxh too bright echoey sound. When I get longer cords, I will move the monitor to the back and face the back of the closet. If you only have one set of cans, make sure the cord is long enough to reach outside of the booth. Mine are in the current setup, but will have to pay close attention to that when things are moved farther back. 😊

Interesting. I was wondering if its better to have a chair or no chair due to potential squeaking sound or even how my voice sounds sitting vs standing. Thanks for the video. Was there supposed to be a part 3 of this series? I didn't see it.

Great question about the chair! If you are planning on doing your editing outside of the studio, then you might want your chair outside. I put the chair in because I do the editing in the booth with the door open for air. As for voice quality, I do think it sounds better standing up. And yes, there was supposed to be a part 3. I just have to remember where I put it and then will post. Thank you for asking! 😃
