Unlucky mate, great driving otherwise. I would love to get into this category of racing but I have no idea how to. Do I need to keep karting and hope to get spotted by a team or should I try some kind of arrive and drive
@miloudiben10 ай бұрын
Thanks buddy, karting will certainly help you. A lot of young drivers are coming from Sim racing as well, Jason Smyth and Jordan Kelly are examples I believe. Unfortunately a lot of it comes down to money, I’m a privateer so save every penny I can to race with the help of a good friend. So you don’t need a team to spot you, there are ways to get on the grid but truthfully it can be difficult on a tight budget. Formula Vee is well worth a look as an alternative.

I was standing on the inside of Graham Hill bend and saw an Ammonite stuck on the back of your car 😭Looked like a baulky gearchange issue at Clearways too?

Yes got ran wide by another car unfortunately and lost momentum out of Druids. Think the gear change at clearways was my fault, a bad habit I need to kick. Please subscribe if you can, might help raise some pennies towards replacement parts (optimistic I know!)

Good drive...l am guessing they are the Irish spec tyre with a lot of understeer. Only went to Ireland once in the early 70's in a Formula Ford as support to Formula 2 race. It was at Pheonix Park, which was literally a park with benches, lamp posts and all....it was a fantastic place to race. Could not afford to go back which was a shame.
@miloudiben4 жыл бұрын
exracer22 cheers! I was a bit disappointed with myself to be honest, I was well off the pace after I went off but great fun and hopefully I’ll visit again. Yes the cars understeer quite a bit, it’s a track day tyre that is quite heavy so the cars are a bit more physical to drive. It’s a shame Phoenix Park is no longer an event, must have been great to race there and then head to Dublin after!

Unlucky mate, what happened at the first corner? Seen it a few times and you can’t really see on the right hand side. That’s unfortunate at the end, Danny should have given you more space so you don’t have to go onto the sausage kerb. From then on you couldn’t do anything else.

I raced in England from 1971-1982 in F/f....F/Vee...a few Saloon races in Mexico series plus 3 years on bikes. Came to America and drove Sports 2000, Ford 2000 on both road and ovals and some Atlantic and finally retired in 2005. I always loved Vee s which is why l watch all the on-board of the series now. Of course most of the tracks are very different now but enjoy watching.
