if u cant run scannow in normal mode do it in safe mode i had this problem it worked in safe mode and it fixed my computer i had a few problems now the computer works great

in order for this scan to work u have to scan in administator mode

this scan fixes corrupted files

i had a few problems wtih my computer i could not run certain programs i could not install anything i could not get into device manager i ran the sfc scan in command prompt as administration in safe mode the scan took about 30 min all my problems are solved computer working great

my windows 7 requires the sfc /SCANNOW to be case sensitive the SCANNOW must be in all capital letters. Maybe because I am running the 64 bit version of Windows 7 Ultimate. If this works for you, you could copy n paste this into ur comment area of ur video. thanx gooday

for those of you getting an error when using the sfc /scannow command in cmd (command prompt) theres 1 error that says "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service"if thats your error you receive YOU CAN TRY this: click start button type in the search box "services.msc" and in the services window you want to find "Windows Module Installer" and check to see if the status of it is either disabled or manual, automatic if it is disabled you could turn it on to manual from right clicking that service and click properties and there should be a box that says its disabled, click the box and there would be manual, automatic as your options. NOW YOU CAN USE cmd.exe as administrator and run that command, if it still doesn't work remember I said i caps that you can try to fix it following those steps. saying that you can try does not mean you should, I never said you should in this case, so don't complain to me or anything, cause I know people who've threatened to hurt others based on how they were being told to fix their own stuff and say that they owe them a refund or a replacement.

Thank you. I have the semi-serious problem that my computer no matter what I do defaults back to having no pagefile set up. Maybe I have a corrupted pagefile and/or virus. I was trying to run sfc/scannow straight from the start button and it would load and then close all in one second. Thankfully your method of opening up the command prompt stopped this from happening. Again, thank you. :)

My command prompt doesn't show the windows 32 thing, only C:\Users\Nick (Nick is my name) I tried running the command without that, but how do I get it to start up like how yours does? Thanks
