Because every copy of Windows comes with MS Paint. There are so many good free painting software that it'd be irrelevant to have. The composer is much more unique and has by far been the more popular side of the game (outside of the baby face and Gnat Attack). I also didn't make the program, but I also know there are no plans to add the paint studio side of the game. It's for music composition.

So with tempo you typically multiply it by 4, 8, or 16 depending on how detailed you want to be. It's something you get a feel for over time. Like... I there wasn't really a moment I decided "I'm gonna use a really fast tempo for this one" it was gradual. I used to compose around 800 temp, then 1200, then 1600, etc. Now I usually start songs at 2000-2400 tempo, as that's what I feel comfortable with. Since the only time signature is 4/4 thinking of the staff and note spacing in sets of 4 is really helpful.

Not sure what you mean by pages. If you are referring to song parts, I do copy and paste a lot between files (typically percussion).

Short answer: Not easilly. Long Answer: If you shift + click on an instrument, you can turn on sustain (it'll put a green box around the instrument). If you then chain the instruments together and slowly decrease the green volume bars for the instruments you want to extend, it can work. It works better at higher tempos but can be a bit tedious depending on the instrument. "Inst" mute notes are your friend when using sustain.

It is just a composer. MS Paint pretty much covers Mario Paint's Painting abilities.

I was a later addition to the community myself. I grew up watching these types of videos back in 2008, but I didn't start making them myself till 2015. Next year will be the 10th anniversary of the channel. It's been a crazy road, but I'm not stopping anytime soon! Thanks for the sub!

Yeah, there's a save button. It saves it as a txt file. You'll need audio recording software to record the music.

So the latest version of Java isn't working with SMP at the moment. Java SE Runtime Environment 8u261 is the one you need for the time being. The developer is looking into it, but I updated the link to get the version mentioned in the video.
