What is wrong with the environment is this guy and the agenda. Welcome to 21 century, were pipes have better sensors than your house smoke detector.

The buffers are a good idea for keeping the fowl off the grass in parks, but how does it help the water quality? Nice video!!!

This will not solve the problem. RI needs an open season with no limit on the number killed. I realize you can't turn anyone loose with a gun in population areas such as Pawtuxet Village, which is certainly overpopulated, but you can hire a professional to kill them. They are a hugh problem, especially the Canada Geese and swans. They should be exterminated.

Lucky indeed. For the record, no crabs were eaten (or even harmed) in the making of this movie. We apologize for intruding on the spawning pairs. We can say with certainty they got over it. John Martin, Producer

A quick clarifcation- The closed beach is in Middletown, RI, as it says in the caption. The adjacent Easton's Beach in Newport (seen in the background)remains open to swimming. -John Torgan

Right on! I smelled this a few weeks ago-some buildings across the street are dumping directly into that stream-maybe not on purpose but they are! Dyes should be put into every places septic system to track which ones are responsible.

Thanks for your comment. Save The Bay first and foremost wants more people aware of the true impacts of this problem. This beach closure is just one example. An immediate way to take action is to FORWARD THE VIDEO. We are working to make sure people know about any upcoming hearings or forums on Aquidneck Island pollution. Your voice will count and at the approriate time we'll use our online capacity to help you turn up the volume.

this a great video that helps outline the massive problem we face, and, yes, communities need to help. but can you please inform us of how we can we help? the community needs to know *how* to help, not just that they should help. please offer us some solutions and options.
