Fantastic, a Bertali Sonata for 3 I’d not yet heard. It’s very sad that the 1600`s are given short shrift on American classical public radio.

Thanks for coming to Tucson. The Legrenzi was my favorite from the show (March 2024). I hope you'll come back for a future season.

Wonderful. BTW, what church is that? Apparently Eastern Orthodox or Eastern rite Catholic.

Beautiful performance! What opus is this sonata from and what number does it have? My friend plays a bassoon and we want to make an ensemble with strings + wind instruments. I have searched through both parts of Bertali's Prothimia Suavissima but it looks like this sonata is not from there. Thanks!
@QuicksilverBaroque4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! This sonata has multiple sources including Prothimia Suavissima book 2, No. 4. However, the Prothimia version has a different 2nd part that is more likely for viola than for violin. The version we played is from the Düben collection in Uppsala, Sweden. You can find the manuscript online here: www2.musik.uu.se/duben/presentationSource1.php?Select_Dnr=2071
