Beautiful but I wish you’d have gone slower. Is this card hard to make? And, did you say the one you demonstrated is an A2 size?

Is there a paper weight you prefer for flowers? Have you tried Crepe paper?
@beccastamps Жыл бұрын
Hi Chris, I really don't have a weight preference but typically use 80 lb or 110 lb. I bet they will all give a different look and benefit - even something like 65lb paper. I have not tried crepe paper with this die yet, but have recently purchased some Lia Griffith paper. I love how you can bend and mold crepe, so I definitely have this on my crafting bucket list!

There's an example of a completed card where the tabs on the sides can't be seen. The video doesn't show how this was achieved. Were the tabs cut off after the card was assembled? Or were pieces of cardstock added to hide the tabs?

Is there a recommended weight of cardstock to use?
@beccastamps2 жыл бұрын
Hi Debbi, I recommend 110 lb paper. You can also try 80lb but the 110 lb will definitely seem more sturdy 💗

I always felt a little idiotic because even with a nice paper cutter, I still couldn't seem to cut a nice, even straight line on papers. I'm the exact same way using a ruler to draw straight lines. I don't think I would make a very good architect lol. Thank you SOOOO much for this video. I had it in my head that I needed a ruler to help me, but that didn't make sense to me being that there's a ruler on the cutter itself and now I know why I do indeed need a ruler! I cannot thank you enough for sharing this info! I'm a major OCD perfectionist and I've wasted so much paper struggling to get perfectly even, straight, uniform cuts. I've actually gotten so frustrated, it literally brought me to tears at times, so thank you, thank you, thank you a million times!

Hi Becca, I know you made this tutorial years ago but I've just got this die set and am having heaps of issues getting it to cut properly. Would appreciate any tips or tricks please? Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
@beccastamps2 жыл бұрын
Hi Faith Anne, what type of die cutting machine are you using and what weight paper? These days I rarely hear that a die is causing issues because the machines have gotten so much better. What I would offer is to try an 80 lb paper or back down to 65 pound. Second, set your cutting lines on a diagonal to help the machine apply pressure to the cut lines. Third, be sure you are using a quality die cutting machine of a more current status - one of the Platinums, Big Shots, or the electric machines. Lastly, there is a possibility the die is defective so you might check with the vendor who sold it. I hope this helps 💗

@@beccastamps thank you for responding. I used brand new Bigshot Switch with about 120gsm cardstock & then just printer paper. I didn't try adding baking paper so that's my next step. It's such a gorgeous die I'd really ❤ to make it work. Thxs again for your swift response 😊
