Venus Williams at # 7 is a sick joke, She sucked on clay. No singles Slam at Roland Garros. The claim: "First African-American woman tennis player" does not mean much, given that she lasted at #1 for only 11 weeks during which she won nothing, Her intelligence as a tennis player is highly questionable, given that she won no tournaments over the last 6 years in spite of entering close to 40 tournaments. Furthermore, she lost in the first round of the last 10 tournaments she played. These must some records as far as losing streaks,😅

There can only be one player the GOAT. #1 Steffi Graf because her longest duration #1 of the WTA ranking. Additional facts: Golden Slam, "Super Slam" (= 4 Majors, WTA Championships and Olympic Games) within one year 11/87 up to 09/88, best versatility (up to now the only woman or man to win all Majors at least 4 times and on 4 surfaces!). #2: Martina Navratilova because the 2nd longest duration #1 WTA ranking. The GOAT is Steffi Graf; #2 is Margaret Court; # 3 is Navratilova. A career Golden Slam is crap compared to a calendar-year Golden Slam: Steffi Graf in 1988. Venus Williams does not belong in the top 10, given that she sucked on red clay.

You are wrong ! Serena is by no means the women's tennis greatest of all time (GOAT). That distinction goes to Steffi Graf which, while having won one less Slam event (i.e.. 22 vs. 23), surpasses Serena in all categories: 1. Steffi and Margaret Court are the only players to have won a calendar-year Grand Slam in the Open Era. Serena never achieved such a feat. 2. Total weeks at #1 :Steffi 377; Serena 319. 3. Year-End #1 : Steffi 8 ; Serena 5 4. Tournaments won: Steffi 107; Serena 73 5. Career win % : Steffi 89.7 % ; Serena; 84.9 % 6. Slams won/entered: Steffi 40.7 % ; Serena : 29.1 % Particularly damning is the Consistency factor: quarterfinal (QF) or better results from total Slam appearances;: Steffi: 85.2% ; Serena : 68.3%; That is, nearly a THIRD of Serena’s Slam results have been exits before the QF. That is NO GOAT stuff ! Justine Henin made a difference, since over the mid-2003 through 2007 time period she was the player that dominated Serena. Their H2H record at Slams is 4-3 in Justine's favor. By comparing to other players' performances, like Margaret Court Smith's, overall Serena is at somewhere around the all-time #3-5 rank.

MISS MONICA SELES WOULD HAVE BEEN THE GOAT IF SHE WASN'T STABBED IN GERMANY BY A CRAZY GRAFF FAN. AT 18-19 YO SHE ALREADY WON 8 GRAND SLAMS. I HAVE NO DOUBT SHE WOULD HAVE ENDED WITH 25-30 TOTAL GRAND SLAMS. SHE WAS UNSTOPPABLE IN 1991-1992-1993. BUT THEN CAME THE STABBING IN '93. SHE WAS OFF FOR ALMOST 3 YEARS AFTER THAT.

I agreed the greatest is lin dan , lee chong wei is always second.......third could be kento momota ( wondering how dominant he would be if not because of the accident ) they are so consistent and dominant and inspiring .....fourth and thereafter is open for debate they are so many consistent players and not just one hit wonder ...past and present but so difficult to compare between them as the sport has evolve so much.

sorry, no "like" from me. You: "Lets make a list of Russian athletes" THEY CHEATED with drugs and training. Our "kids" were in college full time when these Russian Olympians were doing their acts FULL TIME. Can not even compare. USA finally said "enough is enough" and, for one example, presented the greatest Olympic Basketball team and said "try this Russia" side note; every one of that 1992 team (Jordan, Bird, Barkley, Magic Johnson. . .) is in the NBA Hall of Fame.
