This song reminds me of the Innoventions music loop that would start playing at Epcot in 1994.

I loved this movie when I was a little shit. This theme is filled with a ton of emotion. It signaled the end of hope in a very melancholy way. That off key bell seemed to summon evil.

From the landmark album Between Two Worlds on the Private Music label. A corner stone in new age & jazz a must have “O'Hearn followed Ancient Dreams with two more albums-Between Two Worlds (1987), which earned the artist his first Grammy nomination, and Rivers Gonna Rise (1988). O'Hearn began to receive greater airplay on jazz and new-age radio stations. O'Hearn also co-produced several tracks for guitarist Colin Chin's Intruding on a Silence, featuring Mark Isham on trumpet. O'Hearn released his fourth solo album Eldorado in 1989, which blended elements of World Music with warm keyboard textures.

How Bill Conti was able to pull such a beautiful melodic structure out of the ether is mind boggling. There are myriads of beautiful melodies in music, but this two minute long ditty is something special, a great sound track and perfect compliment to a great film.

Watching this for the first time, I remember me and my father both thought it sounded a lot like the music from 'The Prisoner.' Makes sense why.

I still remember that ride from my first trip to WDW in 1980. Then, in November of 2023, I heard Frank Borman passed and I immediately knew that he was President of Eastern Airlines, then. Not to mention, he was one of our former Astronauts. I miss Eastern Airlines, and I am not thrilled with many of the changes that transpired over the past 3 decades. So it's nice to listen to this song, after such a long time. Thanks for sharing.

I saw this movie when it first came out in the fall of 1971. I was freshly minted high school graduate and just starting college. I was also a huge fan of Chuck Heston. I must have seen this movie 20 times before it left circulation. I was haunted by both the story and Ron Grainer's music. Now, almost 53 years later, I am still haunted by the music and by the possibilities of what could happen if there was ever a global biological or nuclear war. In my opinion, while THE OMEGA MAN was the second version of Richard Matheson's book I AM LEGEND to hit the silver screen and it is not exactly true to the book's plot and narrative, it is along with Will Smith's 2006 version set in NYC the more provocative of the stories because of how effectively it deals with one man's loneliness as he attempts to survive against forces that seek his complete and final end.
