his vocal delivery on 'When a Guitar ...' because it reminds me of a friend who effortlessly sings similarly, as well as to JJ Cale, and I'd never made the connection before; all certifiably laid-back in that department. Laid-back fire-crackers ready to explode at will.

I think Jonesy was a spy for the Weyland-Yutani corporation. It was therefore they knew what was going on on Sulaco. It couldn't have been Ash,since he was demolished sooner in the movie. Perhaps did Jonesy have some kind of camera in his eyes, that sent information back to Weyland-Yutani? The same on the spacestation? But was there a competive corporation involved ? It opens up for many scenarios ??

Roy was definitely depressed. It came across with comments he made when I saw him in '81, and throughout the whole show, after the first song, he sat on the floor back by the monitors, almost like he was playing for himself and the audience wasn't there. Very withdrawn 😢

He needed much better backing musicians throughout his solo career. For the most part they were bar-band quality, at best. Perhaps it was a financial issue, or, he was loyal to a small circle of players and stuck with them. Compare with Stevie Ray for example, and many other great players. Would Clapton or Beck show up on stage with these guys? RB was in the same league as those players, but he really needed much, much higher level players. It's always been a puzzle why he was never supported by world-class musicians, which he heartily deserved.

This is brilliant. Consistent with the art book and it's ability to portray the depression, absolute lack of hope and the ultimate acceptance of the inevitability of the extermination of the human race in pictures. No joy. No hero to save the day. Just sombre acceptance of the passing of the age of humanity in a matter of days. Great work. Awesome in fact.
