We use hog nipples to water our pigs. You can hook them up to a static water source, or just simply a garden hose with a little plumbing. They eventually start leaking too, which is great, as we install them on a tree near their wallow.

I have grown a saguaro from a branch. They will root. I bought two branches from a cactus farm, one of them rooted and the other one failed.

I'm kind of in the same boat as you with a well-tilled but weedy garden plot, so it was very helpful to see how it worked for you. Your soil looks like it's more of a clay type. Mine is a sandy loam and fairly easy to work already, so hopefully I can tear up the weeds without too much struggle when my DUC plow arrives next week. Happy homesteading! 😊

Completely normal behavior for a tom he just needs some hens.

We had a tom turkey that was big so I called him Godzilla because he always invaded the 3 small villages in our yard, we had hens that would be in groups of 5-6 and Godzilla would walk all over their territory, but the funny part is they walked into the neighbors yard and who was the main culprit is Godzilla , I yelled to them saying get out the neighbors yard and stop bothering the neighbors.

That turkey is going to be plump for Thanksgiving or Christmas 😂

Awww to sad about the bunnies. Glad you are taking steps to remedy that for your neighbors. I just bought some castor seeds on Etsy cause I’m interested in the oil and they are beautiful. I will likely grow them in pots and put net bags over the seed pods as the form to catch the seeds. Will have to see how it goes. They definitely will not survive our winters.
