I love how Martha Tilton sang Call Me Yours. I'm on streaming tv and I saw this movie in it's entirety on tubi. I keep watching it til they take it off.

Ziggy Elman wasn't playing the solo. It was played by Mannie Klein.

Very true I hid that tidbit in the notes above "ZIGGY ELMAN (lip-syncing)". Thanks for watching and the comment.

It's embarrassing how ignorant these performers were... in segregated clubs singing languages they didn't understand... her accent is worthy of a firing squad... should have had help learning a basic 1st grade word in German. Haha... stupid old timey people...
@velonico2 жыл бұрын
This is horrible... I know kindergarten children who can do better and pronounce the words properly... this is old white bullshit appropriating Black music and using French and German words they don't understand. What crap they produced!

What a great TV movie, superb cast and story. The unexpected songs where an extra gift. Miss Stapleton was a wonderful actress. Thank you for sharing.

Hello all! Is there anyone who may have a copy of this performance I’d like to buy for my dad. He absolutely loves her and is in his 90s! Thanks in advance!

she was as perky as doris day - almost as cute - i'd have to see a film with more of her acting to determine if she had all the tools - but she certainly had potential based on these scenes - only the songs were drab
