Downside of the JB02 version is that they can break on the weld on the part that goes into the head (ask me how I know, and I have seen more than mine) they fixed this on the JB03 version with an extra mounting point under the engine.

@@freefly1 I agree… I don’t like seeing the horn, but some people love the look… it’s very “Monkey” Before we added the sound bomb, we relocated it to the lhs of the bike just in front of the side panel, and used some basic 2 core cable to extend it. It was a neat job, and cost next to nothing to do. It was only because we gained a big space behind the new panel that we decided to try the sound bomb… but it’s great! So loud and makes people laugh when they hear it from such a small bike

from what i see in my bike, the rubber roller from the cam chain tensioner arm doesnt have any wear after 13k km. but the middle rubber roller have the ridge completely destroyed. i am interesed in changing the middle roller. i have already trying with an nylon roller but its the same result.
@SmallboreAndMore29 күн бұрын
I think the accelerated wear comes when you start to modify the engine and put the components under more stress…. But I agree, there was no evidence of wear on ours, but with so few miles, that’s to be expected. I also think the previous models were more prone because they had the option of an aftermarket mechanical tensioner, where you could put extra force on the tensioner arm… like I say in the video, I’d call the design of the 2021+ bikes more of a dampener than a tensioner💪🏻 Keep us informed with what you do and find out💪🏻

@SmallboreAndMoreАй бұрын
Thanks for your comment… we love it when our viewers connect and reach out… Plus we are not perfect and welcome new learning. As far as the stem nut, the 88Nm is the OEM figure for the steel assembly. The SMR is a fine alloy thread and wouldn’t take 88Nm. The spec from SMR is 25-30Nm.👌🏻 We also need to remember that this nut doesn’t take a lot of strain as the top and bottom yoke clamped against the forks do the job of holding everything in place. Hello guys! Great videos, thank you very much it will help me to disassemble the cylinder! I have a monkey 2023, Yoshimura RS3 on it. I would like to install the 145cc kit from Kitaco but I could not do ECU reprogramming for now, I would still have a better engine? And also, are you satisfied with the DNA Stage 3 air filter? So gorgeous! Thanks for your answer 🛵
@SmallboreAndMoreАй бұрын
Hi Bruno, thanks for your comments…. The advice from Dynojet (check out our other vids for the tuning) is that it would be pretty dangerous to upgrade to the 145kit without adding extra fuel. It would just be too lean, and that will cause problems with too much heat, and lead to component failure. As far as the DNA stage 3… it’s a lovely thing, is it worth the money? It’s hard to justify the price tag on performance alone, because there’s for example the Takegawa intake that’s about 10% of the price and will be just as free flowing. I’d say it’s all about the looks / symmetry 💪🏻 but it’s personal choice. In my opinion, they are expensive for what they are! Enjoy tuning…💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
@31HoubАй бұрын
@@SmallboreAndMoreOk I suspected it but you confirm it. I will wait for the Kitaco reprogrammer. For the DNA Filter... I love the symmetry!!! Is it worth the cost just for the look!? Maybe! 🤑 it's nice of you to have answered me, thanks again.

On my stock Dax ST 125 (same stock engine as stock Monkey 125) I managed to hit 118 kph on speedometer (108 on GPS) downhill with tailwind and tucking like theres no tomorrow… then I realized the engine cuts out due to limitations at that speed (118 speedometer) - so i changed from the stock 15 tooth front sprocket to a 14 tooth, but then the engine still cuts out at 118 kph on speedometer (101 on GPS) as before, but the speedometer is way off with a 14 tooth so it reduced top speed very much.
