Yeah, absolutely loved this song and Bette Midler. Then she went on to force her political opinion on the world. Threw her CD's, not because she was wrong or right, but because she thinks she is better than all of us. Beautiful coin though.

The 1977-S Washington Quarter Proof in PF-65 condition is worth probably about $4-$5 if it were to be sold on an auction site like eBay. Thanks!

Hello @bensantosjr8912, the 1970-S proof like this one is probably worth from $1-$3 if you were to sell it on a site like eBay, otherwise it is just a cool coin to keep! And it’s made of 95% copper (all pennies were 95% copper until the year 1982)!

Trivia question. Why is the Eagle so small on the reverse if the Franklin Half? Answer - Ben did NOT like the Eagle and thought the National Bird should be the Turkey. He finally agreed on the Eagle...but a much smaller version.

Interesting! Here is some more information from pcgs.com- “For my own part, I wish the bald eagle had not been chosen as the representative of our country,” Franklin decried, suggesting that the eagle was “a bird of bad moral character” and “does not get his living honestly” because the bird is known to steal food from other animals. Also apparently, to fulfill the legal requirement, half dollars must depict the figure of an eagle on the back of the coin. Thanks so much for your comment!
