Add around 25% bass to this and play on a very large sound system. Some of this is probably the closest thing to the first ever drum and bass track.

First heard JMJ when I was in the forces in the 80’s, even more so when I was stationed in what was then West Germany, so got lots of ‘European music, absolutely loved it then still love today in December 2024. Fantastic video.

Da fehlt im Gegensatz zur Einleitung bei der CD-Version bei der Vorstellung des Ringers die Reaktion mit der grunzenden Antwort Hhhhwwww; bzw. Dolmetsch ist Peter Klesch: Äh grüß Gott! Jedoch beide Versionen genial, da braucht es viel Selbstbeherrschung um nicht selbst sofort zu lachen anzufangen... 😂😁

I may be wrong, but I think Oktalyzer initiated the trend to add software mixing to trackers. TFMX, OctaMED, Digibooster added it, too.

At least Oktalyzer, as far as I remember, was the first tracker software to extend the hardware limitation of 4 audio channels of the Amiga by mixing 2 software channels to one hardware channel and this way extending the maximum number of tracks to 8. Though the mixed channels had some limitations. Such as no sample loops (as used in pads etc.), which in practice often led to having 6 or 7 channels rather than the full 8. At least in my case. 😉

This is a preset for Milkdrop for WinAmp. The file's name is "martin - blue mountains.milk". I found it years ago in this forum, but can't exactly remember which forum entry it was: forums.winamp.com/forum/visualizations/milkdrop/milkdrop-presets?forumid=84 Martin is the user called "Nitorami" on this board. So you could maybe also ask him personally. If everything else fails I could also upload the preset to a temporary public file space for you. But I guess you should anyway check out the forum which I mentioned above. I got all of Martin's (and other people's) cool Milkdrop stuff there. And there's truly loads of it there.

Vado in estasi ancora oggi, all'età di 60 anni, ascoltando Oxygene 2 e 4 così come mi emozionavano negli anni 70. Quando la melodia è fantastica non tramonta mai. Ho seguito JMJ fin da quegli anni ed è stato un pioniere in questo tipo di musica. Grazie JM. E grazie a te che la riproponi.😊

es tat gut es wieder mal zu hören. Ein toll gelungenes Lied. Ich habe damals, als das Originale rauskam gesagt, dass es wie "Go west" klingt - Kollegen haben es abgestritten. Wenigstens sahen es die Hektiker auch so

DIe Akkordfolge des Refrains ist nahezu ident mit jener von "Go west". Das ist eine Tatsache. RF hatte Glück, dass ihm damals keine Plagiatsklage um die Ohren geflogen ist. 😁 (nicht, dass ich die leidigen Copyright-Korinthenkackereien befürworte, aber diese Nummer ist diesbezüglich schon sehr aufreizend)
