You did not take out the games from the wooden cabinets 🤣🤣🤣 You ordered kits. And generic cabinets were not invented because it was hard to move wooden cabinets around🤣🤣🤣🤣 It had to do with cost. Buying a brand new cabinet was expansive. While buying just the kit was a lot less. Also, japan did have similar cabinets as the US in the late 70's/early 80's. Just with slightly different artwork. Sitting down and playing games comes from the japanese way of life. Not from playing table arcades 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 OMG the missinformation in this video 🤣🤣🤣🤣

"Okay, you're pretty good maxing out the level with all our criteria. Now for your final exam we want you to play invisible Tetris, and you better do it well or else we'll call you a failure." I'm glad to know that the developers of this game eventually got over whatever was going on in their lives and decided to make the Endless Ocean games where you just chill on a boat and swim around. An absolutely incredible performance. Worthy of the title Grand Master.

@KevinDDR7 ай бұрын
@@Dr.NateMichael It probably wouldn't be bad but my teammate Sam also posted a Mid Ohio baseline that he made in a similar way to this in the forum thread linked in the description. No guarantees on how good or bad it is as I haven't tried it myself yet but it's probably pretty solid! I think the biggest differences are that from an aero balance perspective, all you really care about is T1, while everything else should mostly be focused on keeping rear grip through the elevation changes. Gearing will also be different, and the same diff settings might be too sketchy on power because the wheels tend to get unloaded temporarily a lot in the middle sector.

@@KevinDDR just tried it out, minus a few minor tweaks, it is solid!

Would you say if iracing had a new build where you had to start scratch and once you get it where you want, would you just take that setup to each RC and tweak it from where it is. Or a track like COTA would you start fresh there? Good info, heads a little foggy haha. The tire temps, pressure and camber not really having an effect is/has always been disappointing. Thanks for sharing and your time.
@KevinDDR7 ай бұрын
I think it would probably be some combination of the two. I'd likely start at a max downforce track (something like Barber, Laguna etc) to see what works there, then try a previously low DF track (likely Road America) and see what's required to change to get the setup to work after removing front and rear wing to rebalance the aero. From there I'd probably take the max DF set to similar tracks and the low DF set to other tracks, but for something very bouncy and bumpy like Belle Isle or Long Beach I might start more or less fresh since it would be likely that the core suspension settings (spring rates, third spring gaps, ride heights) that produce an OK ride over the bumps and hills would not mesh nicely with the previous high DF aero config.

8:12 Saying that American cabs suck is so not true and I highly disagree with this. There are MANY American cabs that are just as good as candy cabs if you maintenance them well and restore them. The Dynamo Z-Back, Dynamo HS series, Capcom Big Blue, Neo-Geo Big Red, and Midway cabinets (especially MK1 - MK4, KI1 and KI2 to name a few) being those. The Killer Instinct 1 and 2 cabinets are considered the best American cabs for games because of the 6 button control panel, which is great for playing CPS2 games on that cabinet. Bad video and audio is because they are poorly maintained. If you treat them well or fix them then they have really good audio, especially on Midway cabinets with DCS sound system. As for controls, it depends on what controls are in there. The new Happ controls are not as good as the original ones that were made by iL, so if you want good controls on an American cab then get the iL Eurostick and iL buttons. Candy cabs are great and all but American cabs can be just as reliable too when restored and maintained well. Just my two cents on the whole American vs Japanese cab thing here, because I wholeheartedly disagree with your statement there. If you want to disagree with me, go ahead. I don't care. This is totally all my opinion and it will stand.
