Since other comments mention this band's song "Cherub" you should totally react to that! It's my favorite from the Buttholes.

This song is chock-filled with double entendres, they must have had soo much fun changing the lyrics. 😎🤘 Yes, Alice Cooper had a small role, as him self, in Waynes World 😁

Maiden kinda outs themselves with this cover . They used massacre as a blueprint for their career . The story telling , duel guitar harmonics and solos and just over all style . Genocide is another lizzy song in this style .

Originally this song was Drink Yourself More Piss lol piss usually meaning Beer in NZ and Aus🤘💀 this song potrays the typical night at the pub, coppers took the car, offers from the sidewalks lol remember dad coming home many times in a brand new car😂

As you read, the song was originally written for the Rogers & Hammerstein musical, Carousel. It was then covered in the 60s by English group Jerry and the Pacemakers and has since been adopted by Liverpool Football Club as their club song. David has actually been in Broadway musicals

I am not a football fan but the most emotional and heart felt version of this song that I have ever heard was from a stadium full of Liverpool fans not long after a terrible event happened at a football stadium in the UK.
@lynndally91604 күн бұрын
@Philippians2v10-12 Yes, and also when Liverpool came to Australia, the entire stadium, was dressed in red and 100,000 voices all singing together, Aussies and English alike

The album that contained this song was an absolute disaster. Up to State of Euphoria, Anthrax was holding its own against Metallica, though never quite achieving the stature of melodic composition. The project attempted to achieve the impossible: make Anthrax relevant by moving with the trend of alt rock, following the success of Metallica's Black album and to introduce its new vocalist. The album compositions are so forgettable and so far away from the talent of Anthrax's musicianship that it is too painful for extended listening. John Bush's pitch is flat in nearly every song - and worse - he proves that he is a one trick pony, reprising the same timbre, whether the song calls for it, or not. Bush's contribution to the band's sound is so underwhelming that Scott Ian ought to have shelved the album and fired Bush before it even became released, though I am not sure he could have. The record business is brutal and there is no way Anthrax could have pulled that move without crushing litigation. I bought this album the moment is was released, whilst still licking my wounds from the travesty of grunge and Metallica's Black album. I was so deeply hurt by the Sound of White Noise that listening to Metallica and even playing some covers from the Black album in my band served as an ointment, soothing the pain of disillusionment at the state of music - particularly speed/ thrash metal and American hardcore. This album is the quintessential New Coke cautionary tale about changing the formula to attract new consumers (audience) while revitalising interest from the existing segment (fan base). I hate this album with all of my heart and soul.

Love is short, and so are Otoboke Beavers songs! Yeah hardcore punk. Really solidly skilled band. They give some hilarious live performances, and their mv for "Don't Light My Fire is amazing" -------------- Whilst in are in Japan, I don't think you have done LOVEBITES yet, based on what you have done on your channel I think you will like them. LOVEBITES - Shadowmaker (Live in Tokyo 2021) kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZ6kfIWffJ1sh8U -------------- And if you want an odd experience, a band I love that is not quite like anyone else. 🎄Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!🎄 A wonderful christmas song - Diana Ankudinova & Brandon Stone (piano) - What a Wonderful World (the best cover of a wonderful song by the legend Louis Armstrong). Diana Ankudinova - Queen of Goosebumps - Diana received such a title for her extraordinary unique voice. Also among Diana's best works are covers of Derniere Danse, Wicked Game, Can't Help Falling in You, OST Dune and OST James Bond (Art of Hans Zimmer) Each of these performances garnered over a thousand reactions.

Thank you for your thoughtful comments Rod. If you ever have time, I would also like to hear your thoughts on the live versions of this song. On YT there is a 1980 version which is stunning and a more recent version 22 May 2022 Masonic Hall in SF. There is nothing like hearing them live at maximum amplification. The thunder of David J's bass at thousands of watts is something to hear & be awed by. Daniel Ash sound is much, much better live: his playing fills up a live venue in a way the albums do not bring out. Peter M is a consummate professional and his voice is so good, I was so impressed when I first saw him. Kevin H on drums/percussion is very tasteful and is quite good at mixing/sound work too. Thank you and best regards.

As much as this song is sinister and disturbing, it is pointing out a problem that existed in the 60's and 70's concerning sex with underage girls. "It's no hanging matter" indeed. The only other song that addressed this issue as disturbingly was Led Zeppelins "Sick Again". The problem was that the issue of statutory rape did not carry significant penalties, and the "groupie" scene was filled with these underage runaways.
