Thanks for your compliment! There are many buddha days in Thailand. At the 17th of October it was the end of buddhist lent and there was a 24 hours alcohol ban, so that's why the bars were closed.

Why would anyone go there? To pay 2-3 times more than what thais themselves pay? To meet the 40+ ladies sitting in many of those bars? Pay a 1000 euro flight for that and all the other cost of vaction. No thank you.

The angle is to cover as much of the view ahead. Too bad cars are sometimes in the way. They should not be allowed there in the evening, as is also the case in some other streets

No idea, we have our own bike 😎 A few years ago we rented a bike (Honda 150) for 3000 Baht per month, not sure what they ask nowadays

I have to say, following behind four guys and seeing their backs in slow motion for the first two minutes is not a highlight for me. Pattaya is a rich environment for someone that wants to create interesting visual content. (. . . and puts in a little thoughtful effort.)
