If you don't mind me asking, how did you play this game? cuz unlike PCSX2 this version in the video has that ps2 blurry effect at high speeds yet it has widescreen patch applied. If it is PCSX2 could you provide me with the settings please?
@GamersBay3 күн бұрын
This is the original XBOX version. The widescreen patch is the result of additional video editing. The original game and recording are much lower resolution. The original game is only 480p. I have the PS2 version as well, but I don't like how it runs in PCSX2, and honestly prefer the OG XBOX version.
@MC3DER3 күн бұрын
@@GamersBay Thanks for answering! Truth be told I don't find the PCSX2 to be the best looking as well (at least while racing) but as much cons as it has the pros are there too so it's somewhat satisfying.
@GamersBay3 күн бұрын
@@MC3DER Oh no doubt, theres lots of benefits to using PCSX2 over the original hardware, especially given the upscaling abilities, and I honestly prefer it for recording over hardware. A lot of games emulate almost perfectly too. Some titles are kind of finicky though, Midnight Club 3 is one of those.

@GamersBay10 күн бұрын
The game is playable in MAME, though not every version. I know its playable in MAME 235 anyway. If you're not too familiar with MAME and arcade emulation, there are some sites that have these games playable online, such as Retro Games CC. We can't provide links here, but you can always do a Google search to find more info. Retro Games CC hosts a lot of classic games online, though a lot of the games don't run that great in a browser. Its really best to use the actual emulator over the online sites, as the games will play a lot smoother in MAME itself.

Cool. Doing the live stream really wiped me out. I was on for 7 hours straight with just one short break. Now, I need to think of something interesting for this month. Halloween is easy, but there aren't any Thanksgiving games. Though, around Thanksgiving is when a lot of Christmas shows started to air on TV when I was a kid. Maybe, we can start Christmas early on Gamers Bay this year.
@GamersBayАй бұрын
I agree, anything Christmas related is fair game at this point. Heck, Walmart was already selling Christmas related merchandise a week before Halloween. I bet you are wiped out, I was gone at the haunted garage for like a couple of hours and you were still running the Halloween live stream when I came back. I was burnt as well, having spent the rest of Halloween night working on video production. But I had a ton of fun at the haunted garage and it was fun making this video. Sadly, I never did get around doing the Ghost Busters review I had planned on, but theres always next year.

Mitchell's scores on Twin Galaxies were reinstated, but to a historical database. Though his scores are not shown on leaderboards, and he remains banned from the platform. I am just going by the wording of Twin Galaxies themselves, but I appreciate the clarification. Likewise, Twin Galaxies seemed to double down on the idea they did not approve of his scores by mocking him with the merchandise they sell on the platform.

This is one of the few arcade games that cannot be accurately emulated no matter what, because the actual cabinet went beyond mere software: The rooms you see were not mere images on the screen, they were REAL, physical rooms inside the cabinet. The opening doors and such were electronically controlled and timed with the ghosts. They, along with other lighting effects, were projected onto a screen in front of the model house. This made this game a very unique experience. Emulated versions such as this one have recreated the look of the rooms but seeing it in person with a real machine is so much more impressive.

@marymcmanus1877 2 minutes ago Karl's lawyers asked Billy if The King of Kong was scripted and Billy replied "no". Billy lied on the stand. The King of Kong was scripted and this is easily provable. Karl allegedly put in over 1000 hours in his case and obviously not one was spent researching the facts behind how the so-called "documentary" was conceived in the first place. Karl's lawyers had Billy dead to rights when Billy lied and stated it was not scripted, but because of their ignorance on the matter, they let Billy get away with yet another lie. Too bad for Karl.
@Mike-ts3it3 ай бұрын
One thing I'm shocked and not hearing anybody make including the attorneys is the fact that Billy Mitchell is a public figure. KJ it's just making an opinion about how he believes the lawsuit affected Apollo. The same way I can say that I believe Joe Biden wants to create socialism in the country or that Donald Trump wants to create a dictatorship. Neither may be true but it's my opinion and allowed.
@GamersBay3 ай бұрын
Agreed! Karl merely gave a theory about Apollo's death based on a series of opinions, ones which Mitchell feels were defamatory and painted him in a bad light. The question is whether or not there's factual evidence to support Karl's claims, that is what the court is going to look at throughout this trial. Mitchell's lawsuit appears to claim that Karl unjustly blamed him for Apollo's death. Karl's statements do seem to imply that Apollo offed himself as a result of the dire financial situation he faced from the lawsuit. However, Mitchell claims he never collected on the debt, nor that he had any intentions of collecting on it, stating both parties simply parted ways. On the other hand, Karl does have some factual evidence to support his claims. It is true that Apollo's settlement left him on the hook to pay an enormous sum of money to Mitchell, and he was in fact in a dire financial situation. A really damning piece of evidence from Karl's legal team points out the fact Mitchell sent text messages glorifying false rumors of Apollo's death 3 years prior to his death. One thing that's not going to play out in Karl's favor is the final statements from Apollo, who seemed to insist his decisions to end himself were the result of serious health related issues, never mentioning the lawsuit with Mitchell at all. Another issue at hand here is the fact this case is being tried in Australia, not America, and the laws are not the same. Look at the statements from @sydtopia1 below regarding the laws in Australia surrounding this case, they are an eye opener! According Australia laws, Karl is likely going to have to present factual evidence to support his opinions.

Appreciate your effort to remain impartial, but it is clear Mitchell is an absolute bully and liar. His frivolous lawsuits are proof. Being impartial here is like Trump saying "very fine people on both sides" (in regards to the nazis at Charlottesville) (obviously not as egregious)
@GamersBay3 ай бұрын
I get your sentiments with Mitchell, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I have my thoughts as well. I did try to remain impartial with the video and focus on the facts surrounding the case. Both have a right to have their arguments heard. Keep in mind, this video was primarily a news piece, not an opinion piece. As for Trump, that's not what he stated. If you watch the entire news clip, he stated "Very fine people on both sides", he then goes on to state that he is "Not talking about the whitesupremacists, they should be condemned totally", his exact words. The media clearly lied about him in an attempt to smear him.
