I have been thinking of buying a wetsuit, what thickness do you recommend for winter diving here in Hollywood and Miami?
@akscott11 күн бұрын
@@primetimefishing2436 I'm not your best guide to address that question as I started diving in the cooler waters of California as kid. Decades later I never feel the need for a wetsuit in the warmer waters of Miami. I own a thin shorty, last winter wore it once and decided I didn't need it. I recommend you ask the locals, then find something that keeps you comfortable, with proper fit being critical factor

Nice vid. Wondering how you go about securing your rig to the board. Bungie and D rings I imagine. I'm also thinking my backplate & wing would not be ideal. Better to use a soft travel BCD I would think
@akscott5 ай бұрын
Unless it's high surf we don't bother to strap down, just spread out the BCD on either side of the tank. The rest of the gear is stuffed under the forward bungee, and clipped to the bowline we run from the carry handle to the bullnose in the bow
