Another thing I got "educated" on when I went on this train is that they do not make provision for a lot of seats when the train is not around. As I was told,thry do not wantto encourage that. Oneis supposed to know the times thr "metro" come in and leave, and be there just on time but other train stations may have a waiting area..

The Lagos metro was originally conceived by Pa Jakande as Lagos governor in 1983. Work had started when Buhari cancelled it in 1984 and was willing to pay a fine of 54 million dollars just to end the metro system.

@@fredeokolo8717The metro conceived by Jakande administration is actually different from the current one in Lagos. The routes are not exactly same, the trains, the mode, the system etc are different. I'm even glad it didn't come to light cos it would have been run down, old infrastructure and system, not easy to maintained etc. Look at the LSTC buses he initiated, Jakande housing etc they were all run down by successive Govt and they are supposed to be easier to maintain than a metro rail system.
