You should rename this with "HOW NOT TO" because this is a horrible example how to properly terminated a shielded connector.

It's nessicary to fit in the univeral mount. It used to be the SATA drives did fill up the whole thing, but they have gotten much smaller since then, but for the sake of backwards compatibility, the form factor has stayed the same.

2.5” drive is a sizing standard common across a ton of computers. Laptops and desktops will have mounts designed around this size to be securely mounted. This actually used to be the size of a laptop hard disk drive before SSDs became the norm. But nowadays you see M.2 form factor storage much more these days that doesn’t have this “wasted space” ordeal.

Not sure, my guess is a way the manufacturer can interface with the board, maybe for firmware, or some kind of programming.

Hi, I am think to buy ThinkCentre M90s 4 gen but the support Memory Frequency in mentioned 4400Ghz similar to M90s gen 3 . I have searched online about the 4400Ghz Stick RAM but didn't found. I Noticed you have inserted Crucial Memory stick with 4800Ghz. how it is supported . I have also seen 3200Ghz in your BIOS. why it is reduced ??

What do you do with that PC to require 128GB? What kind of memory did it ship with? Also does the unit ship with a heatsink for the NVME drive?
@SortedSand
@SortedSand Жыл бұрын
This is an office computer, which uses primarily Microsoft Office. It's use definitely does not require 128GB of RAM. The specifications that it shipped with are: +Processor 12th Generation Intel Core i5-12500 Processor with vPro (P-Core Max 4.60 GHz with Turbo Boost, 6 Cores, 12 Threads, 18 MB Cache) +Operating System Windows 11 Pro 64 +Graphics Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 770 +Memory 8 GB DDR5 4400MHz +Storage 256 GB PCIe SSD Gen 4 The NVME does not come with a heat sink.

Just got my Beelin ryzen 5 5600h. I see in the graphic at the end of your video (as well as your spoken word,) your mention of "Vega 10" graphics. I think it's the "Vega 7" for the 5000 series and the "Vega 10" for the 7 series. I had my brand new 1tb ssd ready to go, I had orginally purchased it a week ago to put in an aging thinkpad t440p. Then I got this Beelink with 32gb. Pinch me I'm dreaming. I was always so envious of the cool nerds with their big fancy towers, LOL. Anyways, I'm pleased to report that the design on this model no longer has the attached ssd layer attached by the delicate cable. You just pop the back cover off without a worry of ripping off the cable, and it slides right in (there's even a nice little pull "band" on the back cover to give you little extra leverage when lifting.)

Great little MiniPC. Terrible for a HTPC though, as the APU doesn't play nice with some AVR's. You'll have HDMI issues, unable to run at 4k60p, you'll need to either turn the feature off in your AVR OR set your refresh rate to 30hz. Really really sucks.

I just got one with 32gb. I'm not used to having a "real" computer. I can confirm that this baby cooks! I was exporting a video file and I figured that would give my system a workout. I opened up the task manager processes tab for a quick peek and it might as well have been asleep. My ram was working at 11% or something ridiculous, (my last computer was a 10 year old ThinkPad,) and it would have been pegged at 100.

great stuff 👍. Better than my early videos. Hey, any idea what chipset the MB is? B450, B550? Thinking of one of these for my recording setup. Atem mini into OBS. My Current 16 GB Ram Lenovo laptop has no ethernet but is a Ryzen 5 5500u so I know it has the grunt to record OBS and a separate audio channel. Thinking about one of these mini PC's.
