A very thank you for the lecture, it is very helpful. Given that the date DFFP made the request for the review of its financials (Mgt accts) was 2019 and it's a usual/routine activity after completion of its financial year. Does it make sense dating the report to be, for instance, 16 November 2019, that is, 10 days after the request was made by DFFP to Oluwole, Ibrahim, & Co.?

I learnt we can not do executive summary if we have not done the other main work. We have to leave 2 pages for executive summary and proceed first. What's your take on this?

@@amosbature4508 no, that’s not what I meant🙂 What I explained was that, looking at the marking guide and grading chart in the ICAN study text, the marks awarded for cover page was not clearly specified. But everything counts, so take all aspects personal and get it done the right way. 👍

Thank you for your great analysis. I have a question as regard page numbering. Appendix is always after the report is you rightly mentioned. However, while writing your report you need figures stated in the appendix to report. This invariably means that you’ll start your appendix before your report. Estimating pages to start once’s appendix may allow for excess pages. What should be done to those excess pages between the report and appendix? Should it also be page numbered? Should it be stricken off and page numbering stop at the last reporting page. Thank you ma

@@adamspida2831 yes, this is a brilliant question. There will most likely be excess pages for the excess pages, you can just write “PTO” or “Excess space” so that the examiner can know that there’s more information in subsequent pages

If requirements need both report for third party and internal information to prepare report is it an external or internal e.g Mar/July 2020.

@@blessingmaya7906 the question you should try to answer when determining if it’s an external or internal report is “Who were you told to address the report to?” Just before the requirement, you’ll see something like this “Prepare a report addressed to…” If the party is within the company, then it’s internal, if it’s outside, then it’s external.

@@gabrielnwokolo4887 not really. Actually, corporate overheads are cost incurred on the management and administration of a company. Now, in simple terms, the difference between corporate overheads and fixed overhead is that fixed overheads are fixed I.e they are costs that do not change with the level of output Corporate overheads on the other hand can be fixed or variable. Corporate fixed overheads are like rent, salaries etc used to run the company. Corporate variable overheads are like office supplies, utility bills which are more expensive or have higher cost when more units are purchased Fixed overheads= doesn’t change no matter the level of output Corporate overhead= either fixed or variable

@@adetolaadedeji8612 unlike the executive summary, ICAN did not specify the amount of pages that you should use for the body of your report. It is totally subjective. My advice is this: When you get your unseen in the exam hall, check the requirements, then think about the possible number of pages that you’ll need to properly explain your calculations and leave the required number of pages + 2extra pages. For example, if 4 pages would be enough, leave 6. So that you won’t be squeezing in the remaining points during to insufficient space. It’s better to have excess. You can just write “P.T.O” on the excess pages

NOTE: Asset utilization= revenue/non-current asset Eat right= 98,400/48,000=2.05 times Smoothy Chocolatey= 85,800/39065= 2.20 NB:Non current asset - Revaluation = 45,565-6500=39,065 Conclusion: Smoothy chocolatey is utilizing its assets more to generate revenue compared to Eat right
