I remember taking care of cattle and horses around some of the farms in thatareabetweenNampa and and Boise. Doesn't seem like that was that long ago over 55 years at least.

I would love to see you make a video about the property tax differences in different counties and cities. I was surprised that Canyon County has a higher property tax rate than Ada county.

Good suggestion! I am starting to put examples of property taxes in my videos. Becasue we are a budget based and not levy based state, it can say 1% but it ends up being less. examples: our home in eagle sold for 740k. property taxes fluctatuated from 2200-2800. way below 1%. middleton city limits probs would have been closer to 3500 and that is the highest in idaho

I've lived in the Boise for 57 years during that time I've seen the towns of meridian eagle kuna get overgrown with population would developers moving in and build build build build and then all of a sudden it's oh wow we don't have enough roads police protection fire protection schools meanwhile the developers build and go and the rest of the people are stuck with the expenses all this building is also made it hard for people that have grown up here to a Ford to buy houses and live here due to the fact that the people moving in are coming in from other places with money and buying up the property the attitudes of changed around here specially in the city government I personally like Eastern Idaho Pocatello is a college town and so all the people that own houses over there that rent to college kids Jack the price up to get as much money as possible for rent from the college students probably more of their parents I can honestly tell you that the crime rate in Boise and the areas around here now is higher than it ever used to be so I'm looking forward to the day that I can sell my house here in West Boise and move on probably towards Eastern Idaho Wyoming northern Utah Montana this is not the town that I grew up in

Hey Brian... another great video... This time last year Chris and I were doing our due diligence about relocating to the Treasure Valley from Arizona. Our two visits only reinforced all of the great things you had told us about Idaho and the Treasure Valley in particular. And now, we are coming up on completing our first year up here... We live in South Meridian and could not be happier with our choices in health care, shopping access, freeway access and ease in reaching the airport. For those of you considering relocation up here... DO IT! ... great, friendly people, a milder four seasonal climate and probably better politics than where you are coming from. And, of course you will need a realtor to help you complete your journey. BRAIN IS THE MAN! Give him a chance... he will deliver for you as he did for us. Moscow, Idaho. Lived there for 25 years. Left after pretty much the entire town (think of it, nearly an entire town of 25,000 people, the infrastructure, the government, the downtown, a major flagship university) got taken over by a pederast cult church. Not to mention they have a ~weirdly~ high murder rate for a town that size. And I'm not just talking about that freak one that happened last year with the CJ teaching prof from WSU who decided to mosey over the state line and knife murder a house full of sorority coeds and one of their boyfriends.

Moved to TN from Utah and have watched TN evolve over the past 16 years and ot has changed so much. TN is very expensive now!! Sales tax is 9.25 with no breaks on grocery, meds, alcohol etc. Franklin TN is over rated. Entertainment in TN is absolutely terrible, everything evolves around music, musicians and food. Lakes and rivers are terrible here, to many snakes and the humidity is horrible.

My home town. I came to Eagle at 11 months old, in 1957. There were about 500 people in the Eagle area at that time. Mostly a small family farm town then. The farms, including my Dad’s are all gone now. The joke goes, for both Eagle, and Meridian, as the old timers drive through, they say: “I remember when that was a field.” I’ve said that to my grandchildren. Not much left from when I was a kid. One last story, When Orville Jackson’s was still a pharmacy, (and was still owned by Orville Jackson,) it had a soda fountain, just like the pharmacies from the ‘30s and the ‘40s. Walking home from school, (I went to Eagle Elementary, when it was the only elementary school in town, one classroom per grade,) we would stop in, sit at the soda fountain and drink .05 cent root beer. .10 cent for a large.

Traffic stops during school hours, horrible wait times. Schools are over crowded. One 1⃣ main road thru town passing in front of the middle school. Big truck traffic is crazy. House prices have tripled in less than 10 years. I've been here 10 years. It's not country any more. 😢

The media isn't telling the whole story but farmers want water but they are second on the list essentially for that type of water, so they are seeing what can be done. i think a reslution is in the mix (my source is a guy who knows this stuff better than me.) hopefully we see a resolution!

Sorry we haven't reached out to you, only because we already had our realtor and we never betrayed those who already works for us.But congrats to us, we started build our house with Toll Brothers in Star. Just came back from Boise and we absolutely fall in love! Star is definitely peaceful and I love it,with stunning mountain view! We need some rental house to live before the house ready. Any suggestion who rents for 6-7 month not 12?
