ah ok I'm an exclusive wired player. I did do a video testing the dongle which seemed fine at the time but yeah I've heard of people having issues using it wirelessly.

Yup it looks like wireless might be the issue. I just found another guy's video showing the same problem I was having, but it disappeared when he plugged it in. - kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4m7gJugZ89pors If the controller is still here I'll try plugging it in with different USB cables and see if I can get the gyro to behave to verify if that is the issue or if mine is just defective.

@@CandarianGaming Yeah that was it. In wired mode not only are the diagonals are working fine but the entire gyro is far better. I was actually able the headshot a pouncing hunter out of the air in L4D2. Annoyingly there's a cable length limit it seems. If the cable is decently longer then it's original, or if you use a USB extender it still shows up but stops registering inputs. So unfortunately it's still completely useless for my setup. Especially when less expensive controllers don't have these issues at all and don't hurt my thumbs to use.

@@AceTheOcarinaMaker I've seen that other video before and had the same disbelief reaction, but he obviously has video footage of his experience so I can't deny that either. I've just uploaded another video of me using the controller wirelessly again with no issues. I don't know what's going on man lol

For this controller, steam input. I don't think it's supported by anything else. But for the Dualsense I use reWASD.

The Cemu emulator allows you to use Amiibo codes which can be found on the internet. There's no actual "scanning" involved but they've got a work around, clicking the NFC option in cemu and open the desired folder.

You can't use it wired if you want gyro. I actually don't recommend that controller these days anyway. Get yourself the vader 3 pro as it has everything you're after, has better features and is completely supported by reWASD.

@CandarianGaming can the vader 3 be used wired for switch emulation gyro? Or Bluetooth/2.4ghz? Looking at either the vader 3 pro or 4 pro. Just need to see where ships to the uk.

@@Mayhemz.95 Yes it can be used wired for switch emulation gyro. The Vader 4 pro doesn't have reWASD support yet. So maybe hold off for now

You can do what your asking but it's a pressure sensitive trigger. So you pull the trigger which is instant like a bumper, then for the for the full pull activation you have to apply more pressure. It's a weird design so I only have it set for digital, but doing what you're asking can e done in analog mode.

Update : I got it today. Sadly the right stick is a bummer. I play on very low deadzones, here the controller just reads inputs on 45 degree steps, while my Dualsense 5 read every stick movement precisely. Thats a no go for me. I played with "stick mouse". Gyro and everything else is good. It would be better if you can overclock this controller to 1000 polling rate like the ds5.

Hey mate, it supports flick stick and it functions well with it. I typically don't use flick stick but I had a play with it. The combination of that and the gyro activating thumbsticks allow for some pretty intuitive gaming which will take some getting use to for me personally, but it does create a new way for gyro ratcheting with flick stick gaming.

@@CandarianGaming No worries, think of it as Valve's version of the Switch's Pro Controller, it's meant/aimed to be used with the Deck while in docked mode, while the OG Steam Controller was aimed at standard desktop PCs

But I was still wondering if it has gyro since the hall effect update, they added Bluetooth to it and some claim that it can be used on switch. I bought it for pc and I don't have a switch so I don't mind, but if it has gyro it certainly is a plus

@alaakhalifatouahria9861 looking at the website, only the ultimate Bluetooth controller has gyro. Even though it comes with a 2.4g adapter. That's the one that I had in this video

I don't have any of those games. But the game that I'm playing in this video "Easy Red 2" is literally using steam input.

It's Easy Red 2. Indie title that released in 2020 on steam but now on switch, xbox and soon to be playstation. I'm playing a custom map/mission that I'm still tinkering with.

Yeah it's definitely the reason and even feels lighter than the WiiU pro controller. The light weight is also more emphasized as the main controller I use is the Dualsense edge.

The original steam controller layout will always be the best for me. Wish they'd bring out a new one with a better gyro sensor.

It's just an outline of the controller itself. Everything is programmable except for the 2 buttons other buttons I mentioned.

What if they made it with a Wii U pro controller layout with sticks on top and the touchpad replaces the buttons and dpad.
