I still have no idea why the US military built that whole trench system. It'd be much more ideal to fortify the buildings. I mean unless the buildings had already been occupied by the Russians. But then again, if the Russians had already occupied most of the buildings, how'd they build the trench system? Were they really sending grunts out with shovels while under machine gun and sniper fire? The only reasonable scenario I can think of is that they did fortify the buildings, but also entrenched in that... okay I'm gonna be honest, I forgot what the grassy area around the Washington monument is called, but that area as a final fall back line. But that also begs the question. Why? Doing all that would take a LOT of time. Time enough to just pull out all the civilians and government officials and book it outta there. But if there wasn't enough time, then how and why the hell did they make the trench system?

I mean... It's not that deep because it is just map design. Call of Duty is not known for being realistic. They probably thought it'd be cool to have trenches.

I see why they cut out the WM evac falling audio, there wouldn’t have been a good way to implement it with what they had since if it did get destroyed there’d be no point in flying around with the minigun. They could put it after your helicopter crashes but you probably wouldn’t have a way to hear it and then the EMP would go off soon enough that it might feel rushed

I think the last voice message about the site falling would've resulted in a mission over and reverted back to the last checkpoint. Considering how long it takes for it to fall, even the slowest of players could save it so they just scratched the idea.

Man this is why MW2 is undefeated, that military chatter alongside Hans Zimmers amazing score just makes it so intense and grounded. That last part was genuinely tense.

Oh wow, thank you so much for uploading this. The Al-Asaad speech gives me chills every time. I remember playing this for the first time, I was very disturbed. I also remember my Mother watching me play The Coup when I was young. She was very disturbed too haha. Great memories. There will never be another game like this every again.

@@Delicate141to be fair there were recycled lines between invasion and of their own accord, only a handful mostly involving ambushes and 3B E-4 Sierra saying his squad is down to 3 men. But considering it’s all background radio chatter that most people wouldn’t hear if not for videos like this, still really good
